Historia
After Lucy is found wandering the streets, covered in her best friend Savvy’s blood, everyone thinks she is a murderer. Lucy and Savvy were the golden girls of their small Texas town: pretty, smart, and enviable. Lucy married a dream guy with a big ring and an even bigger new home. Savvy was the social butterfly loved by all, and if you believe the rumors, especially popular with the men in town. It’s been years since that horrible night, a night Lucy can’t remember anything about, and she has since moved to LA and started a new life.

Couldn’t stop listening!

I’m not sure I’ve ever finished an audio book so fast, could not stop losing myself in the story. Well written and performance was top notch! Loved the podcast music to help set the scene.

WOW ... Best Read in YEARS... Just WOW!
Revisado: 10-25-13
DO NOT pass this selection up. The Narrator is springtime in your ears and the storyline is very fulfilling. The ending actually blew me away. Very thought-provoking and a great example of how each of us unknowingly cause ripples that effect one another. There is always more going on than we could know... very inspiring! GREAT read!

WOW! I have found a new favorite book!
Revisado: 05-24-13
I love the timeless elements to this story, the narration was amazing (the kids were spot-on) and the twists were perfect! I have been looking for a good classic read for a while now and I have found it here. I love how she leaves you guessing the entire book as to whether Lydia is sincere or manipulative, you never know but there is enough to wonder. I wish there were more books available, I'm dying to continue on the journey. If you love Pride and Prejudice or any other regency stories, you will love this! Tempted to listen to it again but I think I will continue searching for the next book or at least one by the same Author. She's amazing!

Historia
In Dad is Fat, stand-up comedian Jim Gaffigan, who’s best known for his legendary riffs on Hot Pockets, bacon, manatees, and McDonald's, expresses all the joys and horrors of life with five young children - everything from cousins ("celebrities for little kids") to toddlers’ communication skills ("they always sound like they have traveled by horseback for hours to deliver important news"), to the eating habits of four-year-olds ("there is no difference between a four-year-old eating a taco and throwing a taco on the floor").

LOVED IT! A Great Laugh!
Revisado: 05-21-13
Jim takes the most mundane aspects of being a parent and spins it into hilarious! Within minutes of listening I was already in tears and on the networks raving about this book! I found I was mentioning this book in almost every conversation. There is so much pressure and guilt put on parents in addition to what we've already put on ourselves and he forces you to laugh at it and embrace it. His witty and sarcastic sense of humor had me rolling quite a few times since I'm sure every parent can relate to the odd behavior of their toddler :) SUCH a GREAT read! Absolutely love the respect and affection he describes for his wife. Very clean.

Loved It!
Revisado: 10-08-12
A great story about great friends and the many different shapes of friendships/bonds. A feel good read worth the time. With so many dark secrets, the author does well in unfolding them a little at a time. Every ball that was thrown into the air is acknowledged at some point later allowing the storyline to layer nicely. I appreciated the narration and hearing the story in each character's perspective. Worth listening to!

A Blue Depression
Revisado: 10-08-12
I read the Castaways and Silver Girl and really appreciated both of them however this one had absolutely NO substance what-so-ever. I've never needed a happy ending and I didn't expect everything to come together in rainbows and ponies... however this did nothing. It was not a good or bad ending....it just ended. There is so much more detail put on the mundane details of a restaurant than the characters themselves! This character supposedly falls head over heals in love with the owner however there is nothing - in my opinion- enchanting or lovable about him! I see no pull or attraction there ... the whole story was worse than bad... it was blah! I would prefer a bad story to an uneventful one. Do NOT waste your time or money.

Nick and her cousin Helena grew up in a world of sun bleached boat docks, tennis whites, and midnight gin parties at Tiger House, the family home on Martha's Vineyard. In the wake of the Second World War, the two women are on the cusp of starting their "real lives": Helena is off to Hollywood and a new marriage to the charismatic Avery Lewis, while Nick is heading for a reunion with her own husband, Hughes Derringer, about to return from the war. ******** Amazing! Not to pass up! *********
Revisado: 08-17-12
I was in the mood for a change from my normal suspense/thrillers and I am SO glad I stepped out of that to experience this read! The narrator is beyond phenomenal and really gave so much more to the story line with the different accents and voices she used. I loved the breakdown of the book and how each crack of the storylyine was revealed and then later filled only to open another. The author really does well developing the characters and transforming them into the hot messes they never dreamed they'd become. I absolutely LOVED it! Such a solid read!

Historia
On a warm summer morning in North Carthage, Missouri, it is Nick and Amy Dunne’s fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn’t doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams about the slope and shape of his wife’s head, but passages from Amy's diary reveal the alpha-girl perfectionist could have put anyone dangerously on edge.

Excellent Thriller!
Revisado: 06-19-12
Wow! Just finished the book but couldn't stop myself from listening EVERYWHERE I could! This was an audio "page turner". The male and female voices really helped make the story and the twists and turns never ended! I found myself trading sides back and forth trying to determine who was guilty and who was innocent! Very impressed with the story and reading, can't wait to read another Gillian Flynn novel! James Patterson... move over!
