Historia
When retired FBI Agent Patrick Henderson calls in an 'X-Ray Sierra India' incident, the operator doesn't understand. He tells them to pass it up the chain till someone does. That person is FBI Special Agent Kimberley Reynolds. Leaving Quantico for snowbound Northern Wisconsin, she finds that a tornado has flattened half the town—and there's no sign of Henderson. Things soon go from weird to worse, as neighbors report unsettling sightings, key evidence goes missing, and the snow keeps rising—cutting off the town, with no way in or out . . .

Terrible narrator
Revisado: 07-22-23
Glaringly obvious that she's faking the accent. It really detracts from the story. Very disappointed after all of the excellent Holdbrook Smith readings.

The Vinyl Detective goes Scandi noir in his sixth adventure. Disfigured corpse. Check. Grotesque snowman. Check. Headless animals. Check. But in fact the killer is taking their cue not from Scandi noir fiction but another popular Scandinavian export—death metal.

Awful narrator
Revisado: 02-11-23
The narration was just so off putting. His pronunciation of “motherfucker” is just so exaggerated and unnatural that it like a sharp elbow pointing out a running gag. The plot wasn’t as good as previous novels in this series.

Terrible narrator
Revisado: 01-01-22
This narrator makes every female character sound whiny or shrill. This isn't the first book where I've had that problem with this narrator. He really shouldn't be doing this as a career.

Sweet book for a good cause

I enjoyed this book. It has a great cast and a sweet story. I like that the proceeds are going to the Trevor Project.

Historia
One minute, silly Heather Babcock had been babbling on at her movie idol, the glamorous Marina Gregg. The next, Heather suffered a massive seizure, poisoned by a deadly cocktail. It seems likely that the cocktail was intended for the beautiful actress. But while the police fumble to find clues, Miss Marple begins to ask her own questions, because as she knows...even the most peaceful village can hide dark secrets.

Horrible American accents
Revisado: 05-15-15
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
No. The American accents are awful! One of the main characters has an annoying upward inflection and ever R is so hard and over pronounced. If you like the English language, avoid this recording.
What did you like best about this story?
The story is great, the performance is not.

Good book/bad narrator.
Revisado: 03-07-10
This was a great book, but I think it would have been better to read it than listen to Will Wheaton. His accents are terrible and the voices he gives to the characters are so silly and distracting.
