Historia
In a world loaded of concentration, mental models are the strongest argument for implementing a more multidisciplinary methodology. The idea behind the mental model is that wide exposure to an extensive spectrum of the issue allows you to influence the most practical understanding from each, allowing you to make better choices. Once you place yourself at the intersection of numerous disciplines, you establish the power to connect seemingly unconnected dots in a manner, which most are otherwise not capable of exploring.

Painful Narration
Revisado: 12-19-20
The content is a nice summary of information on mental models, heuristics, biases, etc; however, there should have been editing and production in recording this audiobook. In the last hour and a half especially, the narrator kept having to reattempt sentences after saying incorrect words ("...like clockwise... like clockwork..."), or not being able to pronounce words and taking another run at them. People are human, but listeners shouldn't have to hear those foibles, as they should be edited out! This is not the quality I've come to expect on Audible. Also, the slow monotone through 90% made it hard to follow.

Historia
In Me, Myself, and Us, Brian Little, Ph.D., one of the psychologists who helped re-shape the field, provides the first in-depth exploration of the new personality science and its provocative findings for general readers. The audiobook explores questions that are rooted in the origins of human consciousness but are as commonplace as yesterday's breakfast conversation. Are our first impressions of other people's personalities usually fallacious?

This is definitely one I'll listen to again! it was very insightful, and quite funny, while still being very factual. I have already discussed the content with many friends and colleagues.

Historia
Mindset is one of those rare audio books that can help you make positive changes in your life and at the same time see the world in a new way. A leading expert in motivation and personality psychology, Carol Dweck has discovered in more than 20 years of research that our mindset is not a minor personality quirk: it creates our whole mental world. It explains how we become optimistic or pessimistic. It shapes our goals, our attitude toward work, and ultimately predicts whether or not we will fulfull our potential.

I wish I'd known about the growth vs. fixed mindset two decades ago when I was in high school, but am very happy to embrace this knowledge now!

Narrator missed his calling with children's books
Revisado: 03-19-17
There is a section early on with co-worker comments on their colleague's emotional awareness, and the narrator uses an absurd range of voices and bad accents and intense fake lisps for the different people, including trying to sound like women. It was really hard to take it seriously and struggle through.
