Historia
Human beings are primates, and primates are political animals. Our brains, therefore, are designed not just to hunt and gather but also to help us get ahead socially, often via deception and self-deception. But while we may be self-interested schemers, we benefit by pretending otherwise. The less we know about our own ugly motives, the better - and thus, we don't like to talk, or even think, about the extent of our selfishness. This is "the elephant in the brain".

I wasn't that interested in this book
Revisado: 02-03-20
I wasn't so interested in this book as it's not as renamed as Thinking fast and slow or predictably irrational, very big ones of this literature. this book proved to have a different narrative of the big ones, but still very insightful and useful.

Historia
Models is the first book ever written on seduction as an emotional process rather than a logical one, a process of connecting with women rather than impressing them. It's the most mature and honest guide on how a man can attract women without faking behavior, without lying and without emulating others. A game-changer.

Regain my girlfriend
Revisado: 11-06-19
With the advice of this book I was able to stop being needy and I really didn't that my girlfriend dumped me, paradoxically this made me again more attractive to her and she wanted to be again with me.
I commited the mistake to be needy again and she dumped me again. Don't forget to be non-needy always throughout your relationship, keep the advice of this book fresh in your mind
We'll see if we go back. if we don't I doesn't matter, now I know how to attract other women.

Wait, what?
Revisado: 09-24-18
I thought this was just another cheesy self-help book, but it came to be a very profound filosofical insight that blew my mind completely.

Historia
For decades, alarms have sounded about declining engagement. Yet companies continue to struggle with toxic cultures, and the low productivity and unhappiness that go with them. Why is "culture" so difficult to improve? What makes so many good employees check out? Neuroscientist Paul Zak shows that innate brain functions hold the answers. It all boils down to trust. When someone shows you trust, a feel-good jolt of oxytocin surges through your brain and triggers you to reciprocate.
