Surrounded by foes and questionable allies, and stuck defending a cold and lonely site of incredible occult significance, there may be no way out.

Narrator change wasn't bad
Revisado: 03-04-23
There are 2 things I want to address.
Firstly, the narrator change. The narrator change wasn't a huge issue because there is a timeskip from the first book, so the narrators deeper voice is great for Ruttgeroyal and generally did a good job. There were a couple of moments towards the end where many of the voices blended together during conversations, but it was generally good throughout. Nick Podhel does have an especially large voice range, but I don't think it is fair to judge Eric by comparison. Eric has a smaller and deeper range, but the voices he does are all pretty good, although it is a shame that some of the characters did suffer due to the change (mostly women like Living Dead Girl). Some of the characters did benefit from the change, especially Ruttgeroyal.
The biggest issue I had with this was the transition between chapters 13-14. At the end of chapter 13, Ruttgeroyal sees the city, and the next moment, Richard is in control and in the middle of fighting/training. The transition was so abrupt and confusing that I had to rewind several times because I thought I zoned out and missed a chunk of the story, but that is just how it was written. It really feels like there was supposed to be a chapter in between that was just taken out, assuming that naming the next chapter "twenty days later" would make it fine. However, what actually happened was the cliffhanger at the end of 13 was wasted, which is worse than it not even being there, and chapter 14 takes off in the MIDDLE of a scene and setting with NO SETUP.

a bit rush at end, exited of foreshadowing
Revisado: 04-18-21
I've been enjoying the series and am excited for the next installment coming out soon. However I was surprised by rushed the end seemed to be. I wish an extra chapter or 2 were included in the final battle.
