Historia
Bobby Brown has been one of the most compelling American artists of the past 30 years, a magnetic and talented figure who successfully crossed over many musical genres, including R&B and hip-hop as well as the mainstream. In the late 1980s, the former front man of New Edition had a wildly successful solo career - especially with the launch of Don't Be Cruel - garnering multiple hits on the Billboard top 10 list as well as several Grammy, American Music, and Soul Train awards.

Great story... terrible narrator
Revisado: 09-09-18
I always say there are three sides to every story. His side ,her side and the truth. Well it was time to hear his side! I was shock to hear about his upbringing, the reason behind New Edition, and the many hook ups he had. On the flip side Bobby should've had someone else do the reading. He struggled so bad that I had to listen to some parts twice. That's sad considering that I love when the author narrates his or her own book. Overall good story.

Adam rips parenthood a new one, telling it straight about what adults must do if they don't want to have to support their kids forever. Using his own crappy childhood as a cautionary tale, and touting the pitfalls of the kind of helicopter parenting so pervasive today, Daddy, Stop Talking is the only parenting book you should ever read.

I liked it

I only get the audio because I like the way he always goes off topic and makes the story more interesting. I'm sure reading the book wouldn't peak my interest as much.... Overall good book you can tell being a parent has changed him and I do agree when he said that he wants to do everything his parents didn't do for or with him...

Historia
Haller is a Lincoln Lawyer, a criminal defense pro who operates out of the backseat of his Lincoln Town Car, to defend clients at the bottom of the legal food chain. It's no wonder that he is despised by cops, prosecutors, and even some of his own clients. But an investigator is murdered for getting too close to the truth and Haller quickly discovers that his search for innocence has taken him face to face with a kind of evil as pure as a flame.

Wyclef Jean is one of the most influential voices in hip-hop. He rocketed to fame in the 1990s with the Fugees, whose multiplatinum album, The Score, would prove a landmark in music history, winning two Grammys and going on to become one of the best-selling hip-hop albums of all time. In Purpose, Wyclef recounts his path to fame from his impoverished childhood in "Baby Doc" Duvalier's Haiti and the mean streets of Brooklyn and Newark to the bright lights of the world stage.

Would you consider the audio edition of Purpose to be better than the print version?
Yes the narrator was his brother so it sounded just as if he was telling the story.
Any additional comments?
I loved loved this book.... I can't imagine going through what he went through as a child. However I would have beat his butt too after all his parents sacraficed, he comes here and do the things he did...Try to kill his grandma oh my god I was stunned lol.. But his rise to fame was that of a man with AMBITION! I applaud him for that. His relationship with Lauren was the best part ever because everyone speculated back then but it wasn't a big story. Great book thanks for sharing

Historia
Funnyman Adam Carolla is known for two things: hilarious rants about things that drive him crazy and personal stories about everything from his hardscrabble childhood to his slacker friends to the hypocrisy of Hollywood. He tackled rants in his first book, and now he tells his best stories and debuts some never-before-heard tales as well. Adam Carolla started broke and blue collar and has now been on the Hollywood scene for over 15 years. Yet he never lost his underdog demeanor.

What did you love best about Not Taco Bell Material?
Adam is a great story teller and this book gave you a background of his life through the homes he lived in
Any additional comments?
Most of this material was the same as the last book so I was let down by that he talked about his football in both books. other than that it was a good book especially his crazy friend Ray I can't believe the mess he did back then. I'm also glad to know that he started from the bottom and worked his way up...
