I absolutely loved this book! I couldn't wait to dive back into it every time I took a break. The main character may not have been the most likable, but that's totally fine. The book was so well written and had just the perfect amount of detail.

It kept me wanting to know what was going to happen next. There are a lot of flashbacks and it’s hard to like the main character. I will purchase another book from this author.

I would recommend this book for all ages from 20s to already retired. Some of it was info I already knew but knowing what happy retirees do was very useful and will change a few of my plans.

Would you listen to The Silent Land again? Why?
I really enjoyed this book and found myself looking forward to listening to it as I cleaned my house. I would completely clean my kitchen and not realize I had done it because the book was holding my attention.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Silent Land?
The entire book was interesting. I might go back and listen to it again since I know how it ends.

There are only two characters in 99% of the book. They were both good characters.

This was probably one of my favorite books I've gotten from Audible because it kept my attention the entire time. I also really like this narrator. He did a great job with the voices.

I think the best lesson learned is that money is not the only thing to plan for a happy retirement. I do not normally enjoy "self help" books but this one was interesting. I'll probably listen to it again in a couple of years to keep myself on track for retirement and remind myself of all the factors that go into a happy retirement.
