Historia
Fin has never stepped foot on the surface of the Earth. Working the mines, deep below, has been the only life she's ever known. Two hundred years after the planet's magnetic poles began to flip, Earth's surface has become irradiated and unsustainable. As the land, water, and even the air grew toxic, the underprivileged were doomed to a life of hard labor underground, while the Enhanced Human Coalition on the surface enjoy their spoils. But now, Fin and her friends discover a stolen piece of EHC tech that modifies genetics.

Good story line, not my favorite narrator
Revisado: 07-13-21
It's a typical YA dystopia book, just ok. I think the narrators somehow monotone sing-song voice really impacted my opinion and not in a good way.

I love this trilogy so far!
Revisado: 09-09-19
Both Configured and Immersed have sucked me in and I've finished them in no time! Admittedly, I'm slightly obsessed with most dystopian type series but this one certainly ranks high up on my list of what to listen to a second time. I appreciate that the underlying love story isn't too in your face and its more about family and the overall mission. The only thing I didn't like about the audio version was how robotic the narrater sounded in Immersed. I appreciated the performance in Configured but Immersed was a little too much.

Historia
A single mother turns up dead at the bottom of the river that runs through town. Earlier in the summer, a vulnerable teenage girl met the same fate. They are not the first women lost to these dark waters, but their deaths disturb the river and its history, dredging up secrets long submerged. Left behind is a lonely 15-year-old girl. Parentless and friendless, she now finds herself in the care of her mother's sister, a fearful stranger who has been dragged back to the place she deliberately ran from - a place to which she vowed she'd never return.

Slow and somewhat hard to follow
Revisado: 08-13-18
This book was slow to get into it and it flips between characters too often.
