Appreciate Jinger’s authenticity & biblical devotion

How do you rate someone’s personal testimony? I so appreciate Jinger’s authenticity and devotion to the bible. I didn’t specifically grow up under Gothard’s teaching, but so much Jinger covered and what she shared in her personal childhood as far as teaching, I was taught. Especially the parts about authority, umbrellas, Purity Culture, etc. I see some truth in each of those teachings but also how that truth was twisted by those who did not humbly submit to God’s word, maybe because of desire for control or maybe even because of fear. I see a few things a bit differently than Jinger and Jeremy, including some doctrinal differences, but I think Jinger did an amazing job on this book and I so appreciate her openness. To God be the glory!

What more can one add

Sobering and eye-opening biography on a life well lived to the glory of God alone. Eric Mataxas wrote with great care and detail on the life of Bonhoeffer. This book is quite long and I think that many a and patient reader desiring only to get to the nuts and bolts of what they feel is valid about a persons life or story, might become very frustrated and bored with this book. However, I found that knowing so much about the early years and development of this great man made the reading on his later years and the end of his life so much richer and fuller. I strongly suggest patience and endurance in reading the whole book. What an amazing life!
