It started out like any other morning on the train - until I became mesmerized by the guy sitting across the aisle. He was barking at someone on his phone like he ruled the world. Who did the stuck-up suit think he was...God? Actually, he looked like a god. That was about it.

Absolutely wonderful

I was so enthralled with this one I listened to it in two days. The story was kinda typical but the plot twists and the ending made it hard to hit pause.

I was upgraded to first class on a flight from London to New York. The food, champagne, and service were impeccable. The blue-eyed man sitting next to me, even better. He was suave and intelligent. We talked and laughed, and something clicked. Fate took over and the plane was grounded, and we had an unexpected stopover for the night. With no plans, we made our own.

It’s been a long time since I have been so enthralled in a book. I laughed, cried, hated the MC then loved him. At times I thought the FC was a total nut job and understood exactly why she did or said something. And when they went CAMPING!!!! OH MY GOD! The highlight of the whole book!

To much background work, sounds and action was not clear enough to build a mental picture of what was going on. To many holes in the plot and continuity. Seems that they forgot to close the the central plot line other then just catching the bad guy (trying to not give to much away). But it was interesting. With some expansion and less production could be a good story. Seems like it was written in an afternoon and smashed into a short time frame to make it fit. But if you have a couple hours give it a listen. Could lead to some interesting conversations with other listeners.

I was a little put off by the comments about the political view being expressed. However I found it necessary to the story. In building a new world this is going to be a major topic. I thought he handled it very well. Especially the difference in the older generation verses the new. I was drawn because I found myself aligning with both sides of the argument wondering which I would choose if I were in that situation. To me it was well thought out. The story had great mix of real life and political life. Something to draw everyone and creating an atmosphere of physical and mental soul searching.
