The Law of Attraction
Revisado: 02-03-09
While I consider myself very open minded and willing to listen to just about anything that is plausible, this book was just too hookie. I felt like I was in a cheap gypsy parlor and someone was going to pass the hat. I just didnt like it.

Historia
It was a time when anything seemed possible–instant wealth, glittering fame, fabulous luxury–and for a run of magical weeks in the spring and summer of 1920, Charles Ponzi made it all come true. Promising to double investors’ money in three months, the dapper, charming Ponzi raised the “rob Peter to pay Paul” scam to an art form and raked in millions at his office in downtown Boston. Ponzi’s Scheme is the amazing true story of the irresistible scoundrel who launched the most successful scheme of financial alchemy in modern history–and uttered the first roar of the Roaring Twenties.

Ponzi's Scheme
Revisado: 01-08-09
Great book, I liked the story line and how it was presented. Ponzi was quite a magician with money. He could make it disapear in a flash. I have to wonder about the scheme itself and if at any point in his life he ever reconciled that he would be caught and put in jail? Anyway, a great read (listen) especially with the current financial happenings. Enjoy it for what it is..cheers.

Great story
Revisado: 09-12-05
I typically use the audible books as a means of overcoming the boredom of a long traffic commute in Atlanta. This book had me almost pulling over to the side of the road to listen more intently. It is very captivating and enthralling. I will definitely buy the next Eisler book that comes out in audible format.

AT Characters,,got to love em
Revisado: 02-22-05
Great trek through the AT wilderness. I've day hiked much of the lower portion and almost seemed like I have run across many of these individuals mentioned in the book. Bryson, does a great job of helping the listener visualize the many interesting characters met on the trail. Well worth the time to listen to this great story. Thanks and enjoy the book...

Twain's Humor
Revisado: 01-24-05
Well, I just finished this book and am glad. Becker's reading was boring to say the least, and I still am trying to find some homor in this book. Much of the Twain that I have read over the years seemed a lot funnier than this rendition. Maybe I just dont get that "old time" humor,,or maybe I just should not have listened to it while commuting to and from work on the train... Either way it was a waste of my money and time..

Historia
If Tully Mars had known what he was getting himself into when he agreed to help find the lost lens belonging to the lighthouse on Cayo Loco, well, he might never have agreed to help in the first place. Then again, maybe he simply would have taken a slightly longer nap before setting off on his wild adventure. And it isn't just Tully, whom Buffett fans will remember well from Jimmy's best-selling Tales from Margaritaville, on the madcap quest.

A Salty Piece of Land
Revisado: 01-12-05
Great story for the hidden Parrot Head that lies deep inside many of us.. This is the kind of story that makes you check you 401K and see if there really is enough cash in it,,you know,, to chuck it all and go in search of the salf flats with a fly rod. The rambling trail of story-speak is just what we all need to cut away some of the tentacles that bind us to our daily jobs and lives in the big city... Jimmy, dont ever stop spinning your island stories of lore and adventure...thanks rjg.
