Everett and Rayne were excellent main characters, and I love all of the people from Mission City! They met in a teaser that I also listened to, but that is unnecessary to enjoy this story. I was so looking forward to this book! I am torn because I really love Gabbi Grey, but this was not my favorite one of her works. It's definitely at the low end of the steamy department. It's still very well- written, and has some intrigue and some action, as most of her stories do! Michael Dean is an excellent narrator, and always makes everyone sound great! I recommend all of Gabbi's works, and this one can be listened to as a stand-alone.

I loved this story from the very beginning! The world building was phenomenal, and it really set the scene well. The description of events was stimulating in the maximum! Some parts were so funny I guffawed! Overall it was an excellent listen, although brief! I could have listened for several more hours!

This little snack was just the right length teaser for me! Michael Dean is a wonderful narrator, and the intrigue is exquisite!

If you didn't already know the Mission City crew, this would be a nice little teaser. However, it's a little short for my taste. Michael Dean is excellent as always, but I recommend the full books rather than this brief novella!

I loved this story, enjoyed the relationships between all the characters (living and dead) and particularly liked all of the cultural aspects of the story! I have NEVER listened to an audiobook that had so many main characters with a single narrator and been able to hear each distinct voice! This was so fun and I learned so much along the way!

I don't even know how to start about how WONDERFUL this story was! From beginning to end, it brimmed with love, kindness, and was so satisfying on so many fronts... and then then ACTION came about and it was so thrilling!
This is the second in the series, and I hadn't listened to Book 1. But, I am absolutely going to now. It is not necessary, but this book was so ABSOLUTELY SATISFYING that I must listen! I have listened to Michele Notaro stories in the past, and EVERY SINGLE TIME she ropes me in early and doesn't let go! The Narrator was perfect, too. 10 out of 5 stars!!!

I am not a big historical fiction reader/ listener, but this was wonderful! James and Ian had known each other as boys in the early 1800s. With about 4 years apart in age, they grew up in a time when men were expected to marry women and the importance of the family name was everything. But, James and Ian had grown to care for each other in ways that were unacceptable, and they just had to avoid each other in order to live. I enjoyed every moment of this book, and if you ARE a listener of historical fiction, you will too!

I love listening to Joel Leslie narrating anything. But, this lovely story is so sweet and his voice just adds something extra! The two MCs had been best friends for years, when Frankie's husband of a few months (Con's best friend) suddenly died. With a quaint town, a wacky parrot and a nosy neighbor, this story was entertaining, spicy, and sweet. I highly recommend this listen!

This story was entertaining, but not a stand out. It's about Collin and James, and how they find love over the need to care for a cute little French bulldog pup in Gaynor Beach. The narrator's voice doesn't change much between the characters, and other than a few misty moments, it's really not very emotional. It passed the time well.

I listened to the first book in this series and it was fire! So, I was so excited to listen to this one! I had never heard of the narrator prior to the first book, but BOY was he good! He really voiced the characters uniquely and consistently, making it so easy to tell who was speaking. I have to let you know--I am not normally a paranormal fan, but I was SOLD after listening to Secrets and Sake, and couldn't wait for the final installment of this thrilling duet.
What I really loved about this one is that Jinta is really the focus, and he is a sweet, innocent guy that is stuck in a paranormal nightmare, when all he really wanted was to be with his love, Raiden. Instead, people are threatening him left and right, he is turned into a scary creature, and he is treated like garbage by his family.
Without giving too much away, I will let you know that sweet Jinta and sexy Raiden get their wish and a wonderful HEA, with some nice lovescenes along the way!
