Another great story with Micky and Bosch
Revisado: 12-11-23
This is another great tale of the Lincoln Lawyer. Seeing Micky defending innocent people is an awesome move for his character. With Bosch as well. I want to hear more stories of them both doing the hard, good fight against the outdated, weak legal system we have in this country.

Unexpected Apocalyptic Goodness!
Revisado: 02-02-21
I listened because I saw it on my feed and liked the reviews. haven't listened to any good sci-fi in a bit. I enjoyed how the world slowly was explained and came all together as the story went on. Some pretty neat story telling that had my brain just going with the visuals.
I felt some the descriptive details went on a bit long. Understanding that a solid visual profile needed to be made. But a bit long describing stuff at times.
If you really like story telling in a familiar format but in a future world where things will get your mind thinking, totally check this book out!! It's rad!!

Back when Harry Bosch was just a rookie homicide detective, he had an inspiring mentor who taught him to take the work personally and light the fire of relentlessness for every case. Now that mentor, John Jack Thompson, is dead, but after his funeral his widow hands Bosch a murder book that Thompson took with him when he left the LAPD 20 years before - the unsolved killing of a troubled young man in an alley used for drug deals.

Revisado: 01-20-20
I really enjoy the Garry Bosch series. Listening in trying to solve the case along with Harry and Renee. This story has a great plot that builds. Kept me right there with them. I feel this book had finally feel better with combining the two Michael Connelly characters. I enjoy the contrast and similarities of one another. A pretty great team! I enjoyed Renee taking a lot more risks in this book as well.

I enjoy Rhett and Link's show GMM. This book put the perspective of their history out there. Great stories and ideas. Plus I totally get the ways of being your mythical best. I've been going back to chapters and listening again. A really interesting book. I highly recommend. Even if you're not currently a mythical beast, you'll become one.

Breaking into the Movies! It is the humorous (true) story of the life of a kid from Inglewood California, who made it up the food chain to become a world famous motion picture key grip! Michael G. Uva is the author of the world-renowned, Grip Book! (also known as The Grip Bible, now in its fifth edition). Why it's even been translated into Korean. Funny thing is, Mike can't spell or type, nor does he have any command of the English language. None of that has held him back.

A once up-and-coming detective, she's been given this beat as punishment after filing a sexual harassment complaint against a supervisor. A people's story
Revisado: 02-02-17
Titus did a pretty great job narrating. Since I watch the show, I now Invision him playing Bosch. This story really had a great drive with it. At first I thought I wouldn't enjoy Bosch's new partner. That said, she turned out to be one of my favorite characters. The pacing of the story was really smooth. no real hang ups. I think I most enjoyed the person touch they had with the cases. It felt right.

Loved these stories
Revisado: 12-21-16
Since the band (and a couple of friends) read the their own book, it was really engaging when they would tell the stories of the small happenings a events, that lead to NOFX as we know them. Being a fan of the band, this was a treat for me. But, if anything, the tales are fun, scary and put things into perspective with early punk culture. The guys putting out this book had to take courage and some long lost emotional stress. Several parts of this book I feel will stick with me for some time. Just because a few topics hit pretty close to home. A great book for anyone. ...maybe anyone.
