Historia
The year is 1862 and 12-year-old P.K. Pinkerton is on the run from Whittlin Walt and his gang of ruthless desperados. P.K. is determined to hold on to his ma's last priceless possession: the deed to a large amount of land and silver mines in the Nevada Mountains. But this is the Wild West, and there,’s hardly a safe place to hide in Virginia City, an untamed mining town full of gamblers, hurdy girls and gunmen - all of them on the make! Relying on disguises will only keep P.K. hidden for so long as he works to outwit the outlaws who are quickly closing in....

Captivating!
Revisado: 03-21-22
am a mother of 4 and grandmother of 2.
I have loved this book for the last 8-10 years! All of my boys, now ages 15-23, still quote PK on occasion. We recently visited Virginia City, and all the great memories were brought to life! We have listened through the first three books more than once, and read the fourth. We are waiting (to no avail, imafraid) for TSands to narrate the fourth book. NOONE CAN READ IT LIKE SHE CAN!! Excellent characters and beautifully told history. I could go on and on about PK!
