Solid book despite some really cliche cheasy parts. Easy popcorn read that I flew through. The twist was fun and unexpected and a solid throwback to old 80s movies plotlines.

It just does not end..

This is the end that never ends. It just goes on and on my friends.
I struggled to finish this book three times. Three. I finally got the audiobook to force myself through it at 2.5 speed and I did it. I also regret it. I've got to learn to just not finish things I think are not great. Or even good.
This was not good. It was just not good. I just didn't care and when it just kept who REALLY dunnit-ing at the end I wanted to scream.
All I know to say is thank God it's over...

Pretty Good Pass the Time Read

I enjoyed this book a good bit. It was a fun pass the time read. I will admit by the end I had to slow down just to recognize who was who and how they were related to the journal, but the book overall was good. Eat the rich feeling book. It was fun learning about the backstory on everyone. Nice little reveals at the end.

Can we talk about Cora? Because between Cora and Paige I was obsessed with these women. I can't name the third (spoiler) however she's just as great in her own ways and her willpower to protect her family at all costs is both heart stopping at times and heart breaking often. I really enjoyed this book and had a hard time turning it off each night. I really didn't expect the reveals at the end and a few times the domestic violence was more than I thought I could handle but my god it was a great read in the end.

Summary: THIS is why women choose the damn bear...
This one's best consumed at lightning speed. The pace is breakneck to just know what happens.
I enjoyed this. It was a between books I wanted burner and I liked it way more than I thought.
It's definitely not for the faint of heart when it comes to the woods, predatory men, and sexual assault.
I can say, she let Mary live way longer than I would have. Mary would have about 30 seconds to team up or be eliminated swiftly so I wouldn't have to fight her to run. But alas, I know that's not good book material.
