Historia
Skylar is used to the way people think of him as frightening, mean, and dangerous. Snakes are not the most popular shifters around and the fact he grew up wild doesn't help. He knows the way he's chosen to live alone in the woods only makes things worse, but he didn't think it meant people thought him capable of killing a couple of wolf puppies. Determined to find the real monster who left them to die, Skylar calls up the only wolf he knows, a man he always wished would see him as more than a snake...

Kind of dumb
Revisado: 07-12-23
I’ve really enjoyed most of Derr’s books and was very willing to give this a try. It was just kind of cringy to read. Too predictable, too trite.

Historia
Do you believe in love at first sight? Corey Ellis sure doesn't. Oh, everyone around him seems to have found their happy ending, but he's far too busy to worry about such things. He'll have plenty of time for romance after he survives his last summer before graduation. So what if he can't get his former professor, Jeremy Olsen, out of his head? It's nothing more than hero worship. And that's the way it should stay. Except bi-gender Corey - aka Kori - is interning at Phoenix House for the summer, an LGBTQI youth center, and the director just so happens to be a certain former professor.

Amazing narration improves an amazing story
Revisado: 12-22-20
Anything Klune writes is good. Snarky, engaging, biting, heart-warming. But I think this story, maybe more than any other book I’ve heard him read, really displays Crisden’s talents. A wonderful listen. Good for many repeats.

Historia
A werewolf walks into a bar. Tank is working as a bouncer when he notices something odd about the sexy-as-sin bartender. He’s odorless, he’s amazingly popular with shifters, and he’s terrified. A man without a smell. Isaac is trying to escape his past. He hides in San Francisco, because everyone knows that there are no werewolves in the Bay Area. Until one walks into his bar. Can a gentle werewolf with a trampled heart show a man who’s been running scared that sometimes there are monsters worth running towards?

Great story
Revisado: 07-28-19
I love Gail’s stories. All the way from the YA stories to the more explicit. This pack intrigued me and I’d love to read all their stories. Kirt is an amazing narrator. I’ve listened to books on no other Recommendation than that he read them.

Silly
Revisado: 01-10-19
Very silly almost unbelievable story. Doesn’t draw me in. Constant inability to suspend disbelief. Unfortunately, the narrator cannot fix it and the story line brings down the quality of narration.

Historia
"Coming home from work to find my boyfriend banging our hairy, married landlord—in our bed—was bad enough. Discovering Jamie had also cleaned out my bank accounts made it officially the worst day of my life. I think I can be forgiven for wanting revenge, even if a few little laws (and possibly Jamie's nose) got bent in the process."

Only average
Revisado: 05-05-18
Narration is good. But the story limps along with minimal plausibility. Even the sex is just ‘meh.’

Historia
Alexia Tarabotti, Lady Maccon, has settled into domestic bliss. Of course, being Alexia, such bliss involves integrating werewolves into London High society, living in a vampire's second best closet, and coping with a precocious toddler who is prone to turning supernatural willy-nilly. Even Ivy Tunstell's acting troupe's latest play, disastrous to say the least, cannot put a damper on Alexia's enjoyment of her new London lifestyle.

Willing suspension of disbelief
Revisado: 04-12-15
Even knowing that I was reading a tale of werewolves and vampires in London, believing that a (now) mortal man could survive a fall from a hot air balloon requires more than the usual grace from the reader. However, it is amusing and touching and intriguing enough, that I have made the necessary concessions with happy heart.

I love this performer. She makes each character unique. Her voice is pleasant and adds depth to the book. It is like you read it yourself. Except better accents.

Historia
After two rollicking adventures through Western literature, resourceful literary detective Thursday Next definitely needs some downtime. And what better place for a respite than in the hidden depths of the Well of Lost Plots, where all unpublished books reside? But peace and quiet remain elusive for Thursday, who soon discovers that the Well is a veritable linguistic free-for-all, where grammasites run rampant, plot devices are hawked on the black market, and lousy books—like the one she has taken up residence in—are scrapped for salvage.
