always like Delaware books. But am not Happy Robin is back. she doesn't deserve Alex. She seems to come back when something goes wrong with her other relationships. Also being a blond myself I don't like the idea that every good woman is brunette and every blond in tge stories are skanks.

Alex Cross is back - and so is a raging and suicidal Gary Soneji. Out of prison and dying from the AIDS virus he contracted there, he will get revenge on Cross before he dies. In addition, we are introduced to a new pair of rivals whose paths cross that of Alex and Soneji. Thomas Augustine Pierce has been chasing his demon, Mr. Smith, since the savage murder of his fiancée. Mr. Smith is a unique monster, with actions toward his victims so insane - so unimaginable - that he is thought of as "not of the Earth".

ugh. The voice.
Revisado: 06-09-24
This reader was awful. gang thug voice. changing constantly. couldn't get into the story because I was so focused on the voice. from Jack and Jill where there was basically NO thug voice to this voice was painful. especially mama Nana. OMG. if his voice would have been like the epilog THROUGHOUT it would have worked. at this point I don't care about christine.

Historia
A raging wildfire. A massive blackout. A wealthy man shot to death in his palatial hilltop home. For Clay Edison, it’s all in a day’s work. As a deputy coroner, caring for the dead, he speaks for those who cannot speak for themselves. He prides himself on an unflinching commitment to the truth. Even when it gets him into trouble. Then, while working the murder scene, Clay is horrified to discover a link to his brother, Luke. Horrified. But not surprised. Luke is fresh out of prison and struggling to stay on the straight and narrow. And now he’s gone AWOL.

Historia
Clay Edison has his hands full. He’s got a new baby who won't sleep. He’s working the graveyard shift. And he’s trying, for once, to mind his own business. Then comes the first call. Workers demolishing a local park have made a haunting discovery: the decades-old skeleton of a child. But whose? And how did it get there? No sooner has Clay begun to investigate than he receives a second call - this one from a local businessman, wondering if the body could belong to his sister.

hard to listen
Revisado: 05-15-24
wanted to love this series. it's difficult to stay involved. while I love the concept the fact he was with a weird girl in the beginning and then married with kid to someone else almost immediately -- ugh. why didn't he just start out being married. being married is unimportant for this series. and especially with kid.

Historia
Eccentric, reclusive Walter Rennert lies cold at the bottom of his stairs. At first glance the scene looks straightforward: a once-respected psychology professor done in by booze and a bad heart. But his daughter, Tatiana, insists that her father has been murdered, and she persuades Clay Edison to take a closer look at the grim facts of Rennert's life. What emerges is a history of scandal and violence and an experiment gone horribly wrong that ended in the brutal murder of a coed.

Historia
Gaia is dying. That, at least, is what Dr. Lionel Scott believes. A renowned expert in tropical and infectious diseases, Scott has witnessed the devastating impact of illness and turmoil at critical scale. Society as it exists is untenable, and the direct link to Earth’s death spiral; population levels are out of control and people have allowed disarray and disorder to run rampant. While most are concerned about deadly disease, Scott knows that it is truly humanity itself that will destroy Gaia.

MEH. IT WAS A WASTE
Revisado: 04-15-24
Not a fan at all of this story. Sounds thrown together using the COVID scare just to get a book out. Lucas wasn't in it enough. could have made it a Letty book. characters weren't developed. the 2 books before thus were really great. Sad to hear about Richard Ferone.

Los Angeles is a city of stark contrast, the palaces of the affluent coexisting uneasily with the hellholes of the mad and the needy. That shadow world and the violence it breeds draw brilliant psychologist Dr. Alex Delaware and Detective Milo Sturgis into an unsettling case of altruism gone wrong.

Historia
The first storm comes from, of all places, the Minnesota zoo. Two large and very rare Amur tigers have vanished from their cage, and authorities are worried sick that they've been stolen for their body parts. Traditional Chinese medicine prizes those parts for home remedies, and people will do extreme things to get what they need. Some of them are a great deal more extreme than others - as Virgil is about to find out.

Though I really love Sanford's characters all the stories start out knowing the bad guys. Then the BCA runs around like Keystone Cops trying to figure it out. They "Just miss" at least 5 times in every book; both Prey and Flowers books. should be more like The Ultimate Game.

A MUST READ
Revisado: 11-14-23
Really enjoyed this story. But in the beginning, when both voices were talking, there was no need to say "Bosch said" and "I said." it was clear who was talking by using their different voices. Also, lighten up on us Conservatives. Not everyone is a LIB.
Once into it, it was a terrific book. Couldn’t turn it off. Every Part of it was enthralling. how long do I have to wait until for another Lincoln Lawyer?
I was wondering that since in the last book. McFierce and Mickey were in lockdown. What happened. Also, I love that Bosch was a HUGE part but really missed Cisco and especially Lorna. All are significant
