Historia
In which, a 17-year-old apprentice dealer in rare books is sent from Paris to England by her father, to obtain incunabula and medieval books of devotion - and whatever secrets of political intrigue or finance may come to hand in the process. In the course of her business, though, Minnie meets Harold Grey (Lord John’s elder brother), the newly-widowed (and alarmingly deranged) Duke of Pardloe, and things fall out.

Characters and background fill of story .

Wonderful. Listened twice to appreciate details of story as essential to character development. It’s like really getting to know these people you already met at a later time.

Historia
Change is coming to Sweden’s far north: its untapped natural resources are sparking a gold rush with the criminal underworld leading the charge. But it’s not the prospect of riches that brings Lisbeth Salander to the small town of Gasskas. She has been named guardian to her niece Svala, whose mother has disappeared. Two things soon become clear: Svala is a remarkably gifted teenager—and she’s being watched.

Painful
Revisado: 09-14-23
Story seemed like it was really a wannabe but was not really familiar with the previous books. Characters were not faithful at all and story line kind of chaotic . Dramatic but shallow. Really disappointed in character development which would weave into story. Sometimes it’s best just to accept the story is over. Clearly I didn’t w any it to be because I bought it. Simon Vance is always great but didn’t seem to be as into it either.

Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

This a book about Harry not royal expose’
Revisado: 01-18-23
Content is about Harry . Not complaining and not really explaining . Just autobiography .
Very good prose and wonderful narration.
Attacks say more about the attackers than content.
I was surprised at how rich and well written Harry’s Book and performance would be . Lots to learn about complexity of trauma from the inside out. Bravo!

Historia
This is Jim Dale's incomparable telling of the beloved A Christmas Carol, a "little book," as Charles Dickens himself called it, which has been treasured by generations since December of 1843. Listeners of all ages will be enthralled as they meet for the first time, or are reunited with, that miser of all misers, Mr. Ebenezer Scrooge.

Historia
At the height of the Middle Ages in the 14th century, King Edward III of England is determined to use any means necessary to expand his power and gain control of England's bitter rival, France. His own son, Edward, prince of Wales, is far from immune from his political plans. And when Joan of Kent, now free from exile, sees her chance for revenge, she takes it. A calculated plot to scandalize the royal family for revenge for her father's downfall and execution soon turns into the most surprising thing: love.

Delightful diversion
Revisado: 08-04-21
Wonderful performance and light storyline with enough historical infusion to give a perspective of time and place.
Carsten development I though was quite good. I agree it is a romance novel but that’s ok .
Effortless listen

Really enjoyed this
Revisado: 07-22-21
I liked the first book but this one really was better. Rich plot and substance to story line and character development. The political intrigues and “bad behavior” and less than honorable motives add realism and are woven into the story in natural way. Great Story and great book. Good job guys!
I wasn’t sure about the multiple character performance vs narrator but it worked well.

So important for so many reasons . Well researched and presented and highlights crucial insights and meaningfulness of clinical science in our national identity and history.
Our young people are our greatest resource !
This pod cast informs about our national investment in science and clinical medicine during the Vietnam War. Unfortunately war has been a common impetus for other areas of science and medicine. As discussed in the final episode , maybe we can appreciate the value of our “human resource” and mobilize what makes us great in positive ways.
This is really what “prolife” should reference .
