Historia
Dave Shutler analyzes twelve faulty assumptions about obtaining a higher education and shows how they can lead to debilitating college debt. Analogizing to the two realities in the Matrix movies, he reveals underlying facts about the assumptions to high schoolers and their parents. These assumptions range from deciding whether to attend college in the first place, to the importance of selecting a major, to how to minimize college living costs. This book is a systematic guide to the many misconceptions that students hold in the college application process.

Graduate Debt Free -- Escaping the Student Loan Matrix gives the reader an up-to-date road map for anyone considering a future in higher education. Contrasting to many of his peers in this space, David Shutler shuts down the popular misconception that college is usually worth the time and money spent. Rooted in data and real-world examples, Shutler gives even the most devout pro-collegiate minds, a reason to stop and really examine if college is still the best way to a successful/secure future.
I loved the book. There is tons of great information in it that can literally save you tens of thousands of dollars and years of your life.
I can't wait to read the next in the series "Don't Go to Law School". ;)
