I appreciate the story. I just didn’t care for Hames. To me, his behavior was toxic. He continually overstepped boundaries and it all worked out in the end, but Tanya’s set up for a hard future if he behaves that way before they ever got together.

Great story, but really drug out

The story is great, but I felt like the story really took sooooo long to tell. There was so much philosophy added to the book. I didn’t hate it at all, but if you don’t want to be preached philosophy, then don’t partake in this book.

Horrid narrator, great story

This lady was awful. It was hard for me to keep listening because the narrator was awful!! She made these really powerful characters who had strong voices in previous books sound all breathy and weak and uncaring. Bad choice of narrator. The story itself is amazing, but if I can’t stand listening to it because the narrator is terrible, it is just not worth it.

The audio recording is just a digitized version of the book on CD, so there are several interruptions (about every hour or so) that say something like, “This is the end of disc 1, please insert disc 2” it isn’t a big distraction, but it is annoying and the chapters of the actual book do not line up with the audio book chapters because the audio book chapters are lined up to the old disc number.
The story itself is amazing. I am truly loving these books almost more than other classic books like Little House on the Prairie series

The ONLY reason I gave this 2 stars was because the audio performance was great.
The story is absurd. There was a couple decent passages about the main characters in the throwes of passion. Other than that, I was physically cringing through most of the test of the book.
Seriously, Nate is supposed to be an alpha male, but instead he is a borderline narcissistic jerk. multiple times Lilly was physically fighting off Nate and demanding he get off of/away from her and he refused and forced himself on her...pretty sure this is called rape.
The love that Lilly wished for is definitely not what is described in this book. Lilly isn't just some victim. She is an idiot as well.
I completely lost any respect I had for the story when they treated a migraine like it was the medical emergency of a lifetime and the whole world is practically going to stop spinning.
Please don't waste your time and brain cells on this.
To the author- I wish this book would have focused more on the genie and his adjusting to the mortal world that this pathetic love story. You definitely could have made this love story infinitely better.
