Historia
Lou Winter is a lonely woman who no longer realises she's being taken advantage of - whether by her mother or unfaithful husband Phil. Then one day she spots a magazine article on clearing clutter. What begins as an earnest spring-clean soon spirals out of control. The more Lou lets go of, the more light can get to those painful places at the centre of her heart.

Historia
Fred Secombe, a Church of Wales vicar, sings an old music-hall song at the election of a new bishop. Another new appointment is a curate, John Burton. Meanwhile, the archdeacon, Titus Philips, continues a vendetta against the vicar, to the annoyance of his wife. John Burton does sterling work on the council estate, and this prompts the vicar to begin more visiting in the parish. There, he attracts the attention of a young wife, and then the attention of her husband, who falsely accuses him of an affair.

Any additional comments?
I've listened to at least 4 additional Audible selections since reading this one, so I can't remember alot of detail.

Ntozake Shange’s most beloved novel, Sassafrass, Cypress & Indigo, is the story of three “colored girls,” three sisters and their mama from Charleston, South Carolina. Sassafrass, the oldest, is a poet and a weaver like her mother, gone north to college and living with other artists in Los Angeles, trying to weave a life out of her work, her man, her memories, and her dreams.

To protect himself and those he loved from street violence, Andre learned to use his fists so well that he was even scared of himself. He was on a fast track to getting killed—or killing someone else—or to beatings-for-pay as a boxer.

I'm really tired of listening to this bored and boring narrative.
Sorry I bought this title, even on sale.
I'd price it at $1.95.

Seeing 1950s USA through the eyes of nurses from the UK was an unforgettable experience. These girls had pluck and they were great at making the characters they met come alive thru the written word. I enjoyed Emma Tate's narration and am on my 2nd go at listening to this marvelous tale.

cocky narrator grates on my nerves!
Revisado: 11-30-08
I'm very interested in the subject of this book, but I can't force myself to finish it. The narrator has an air of cockiness throughout, as though he's quite full of himself. Listening to him is like being stuck in class with someone I'd walk several blocks to avoid!

abridgement, please!
Revisado: 04-30-07
This is a remarkable and wonderful story. The details of how Gramin bank was begun, how it has grown, etc. are excellent. But...there's too much repetitive rhetoric delivered with great drama, as though the world could be altered or saved if enough passion and repetition could make it so. Those passionate narratives could be chopped out.

follow your dreams uphill
Revisado: 02-19-07
Why do we resist telling our family and devoted friends about the problems we face? It makes for good story-telling, but it's also typical of life. This is a very good story and I enjoyed it. The narrator used some really strange voices which I found unpleasant and unrealistic, so I'll steer clear of that particular narrator in future.
