Fun listen!
Revisado: 01-04-22
I liked the narrators voice, she did a great job! This is the first novel I listened to in the series, just
found it by chance, I'm starting back book 1 now!

Historia
Men suck. They break you. Leave you. Take everything until there's nothing left. And frankly, I'm done allowing them to make me feel insignificant. So, forget men. I'll just throw myself into my job, because at least that never fails me. Jackson has other plans, though. I refuse to be impressed by his perfect body, the cute dimple on his cheek, or the rugged stubble on his face. Jackson Cole can be resisted. But, I'm only fooling myself. He's going to wear me down. I can feel it. In the end he'll prove that once again, I'm no one's beloved.

Lame main characters
Revisado: 11-08-21
Didn't finish this, I didn't like the main characters. The female protagonist annoyed me, she seemed weirdly childish. Her love interest was also kind of irritating, toxic masculinity personified. I wasn't looking for something super deep with this book, just entertaining, but the almost anti-feminist vibe of this really put me off.

Historia
After serving half a dozen tours in Afghanistan and Iraq as a US Marine, Cambio Todelli - known as Toad to his MC brothers - is left with a penchant for violence and no emotional attachment between his heart and his groin. As the Sergeant at Arms for the Selected Sinners MC, Toad has one assignment and he takes it very seriously. Keeping his Brothers safe from harm at any cost. Although he believes he ultimately stands for what is moral and justified, he admits sometimes the lines simply become blurred.

A bit misogynistic
Revisado: 05-17-20
I only listened up to Chapter 23, and then shut this one off. I love a good biker romance novel, but this one had the faint odor of misogyny all over it. The female protagonist takes every opportunity to tell us how she doesn't like or trust other women, how women always overreact, how men make better friends and are more straightforward and dependable, etc. She seems surprised when another female character she interacts with is honest and intelligent. Gross. I think you can write female characters better than this, Scott.
