Historia
At one time, Corrie ten Boom would have laughed at the idea that she had a story to tell. For the first 50 years of her life, nothing out of the ordinary ever happened to her. She was a spinster watchmaker living contentedly with her sister and their elderly father in the tiny house over their shop in Haarlem. Their uneventful days, as regulated as their own watches, revolved around their abiding love for one another. But with the Nazi invasion and occupation of Holland, everything changed....

Uplifting and amazing.
Revisado: 04-05-23
What an amazing and uplifting story about living your faith. Books like this just make you want to be a better person. How Corrie and Betsy lifted everyone around them and lived their faith everyday is a miracle. I’m so glad I listened to this book. What an example of a true Christian.

Historia
A riotously funny story of love, life . . . and the fine art of sabotage. Meet Melanie and Fran - two charmingly wisecracking young Londoners who simply can't believe it when their old schoolfriend Amanda, Satan's own PR agent, manages to get herself hitched to a laird (Scottish for lord). Who cares that Fraser McConnel has worn the same ratty Converse sneakers for years and that his castle is really a pile of rubble? All the social-climbing queen of preen cares about is the title she'll soon have.

I wanted to like this book
Revisado: 04-22-17
I've read some other Sophie Kinsella books that I loved and laughed out loud at-this story was not one of them. I disliked the narration-it seemed tinny and unpleasant and I had a difficult time enjoying the story because of the narration. It felt like the narrator was talking too fast. I also couldn't deal with all the swearing and off color comments. There was just so much of it that I stopped listening and wasn't looking forward to see what happened. I will try other books by this author and hope for better luck. I absolutely loved "I've Got Your Number ".

Historia
A 39-year-old with Asperger’s syndrome and obsessive-compulsive disorder, Edward Stanton lives alone on a rigid schedule in the Montana town where he grew up. His carefully constructed routine includes tracking his most common waking time (7:38 a.m.), refusing to start his therapy sessions even a minute before the appointed hour (10:00 a.m.), and watching one episode of the 1960s cop show Dragnet each night (10:00 p.m.). But when a single mother and her nine-year-old son move in across the street, Edward’s timetable comes undone....

Sweet, funny and very touching.
Revisado: 04-04-15
This is a very funny and very thoughtful book. I read "Look Me in the Eye" and "the Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time" and loved both those books. That's what drew me to read and listen to this book. I was loving Edward and forgiving his father by the end.

Historia
As North Korea's State Poet Laureate, Jang Jin-sung led a charmed life. With food provisions (even as the country suffered through its great famine), a travel pass, access to strictly censored information, and audiences with Kim Jong-il himself, his life in Pyongyang seemed safe and secure. But this privileged existence was about to be shattered. When a strictly forbidden magazine he lent to a friend goes missing, Jang Jin-sung must flee for his life.

Riveting. I couldn't stop listening.
Revisado: 03-30-15
I've read a couple of different books about North Korea, each from a different persons perspective. This one was exciting due to the circumstances of his escape. Highly recommended.

What Heaven is for Real did for near-death experiences, Miracles does for the miraculous - provides undeniably compelling evidence that there's something real to be reckoned with, whatever one has thought of this topic before. It provides a wide range of real stories of the miraculous and will engage the listener in the serious discussion that this fascinating and rich subject deserves.
