Historia
In this must-listen book for anyone striving to succeed, pioneering psychologist Angela Duckworth shows parents, educators, students, and businesspeople - both seasoned and new - that the secret to outstanding achievement is not talent but a focused persistence called "grit". Why do some people succeed and others fail? Sharing new insights from her landmark research on grit, MacArthur "genius" Angela Duckworth explains why talent is hardly a guarantor of success.

The textbook defining the merits of hard work
Revisado: 01-14-21
Well written. All the virtues of hard work finally articulated in a clear and concise book. It presents the findings more scientifically than as a self help book. Recommended none the less.

Pretty good read into the origins of the universe
Revisado: 01-14-21
Performed well and written as if Neil has took you out on a coffee. My only gripe since it does go into detail, a written book works better than an audiobook

This should be taught in schools and at home!
Revisado: 12-30-20
The knowledge passed on in this book should be an essential part to every single human's upbringing! I know this more for an American audience, but excluding those chapters the remaining knowledge should be absorbed by everyone! 100% recommended!

Historia
Why are humans seemingly hardwired to worship gold? It is unique amongst metals: it is malleable, it doesn’t tarnish, and it shines like nothing else. Over time it has come to symbolise wealth and status. It can represent goodness and fidelity but also greed and lust. Financial educator, author and broadcaster Alvin Hall explores why we are so obsessed with this particular metal, and what it represents around the world - in terms of wealth and symbolism - both historically and now.

Historia
Behind the alarming headlines about job losses, bank bailouts, and corporate greed, there is a little-known story of bad ideas. For 50 years or more, economists have been busy developing elegant theories of how markets work - how they facilitate innovation, wealth creation, and an efficient allocation of society's resources. But what about when markets don't work?

Smarter people than may extract more cohesive insights from the book however I thought it read more like a textbook rather than a conceptual debate. However, I still do appreciate the content and it has widened my horizons a bit on free markets.

Most books about the history of humanity pursue either a historical or a biological approach, but Dr. Yuval Noah Harari breaks the mold with this highly original book. From examining the role evolving humans have played in the global ecosystem to charting the rise of empires, Sapiens integrates history and science to reconsider accepted narratives, connect past developments with contemporary concerns, and examine specific events within the context of larger ideas.

Revisado: 11-10-20
Well written history and story of our species that really captivated me for the entire runtime. You may not necessarily believe or agree with the notions but it goes a long way to open your mind to the number of possibilities of our origins and our future as a species!
