I am a Viet Nam era survivor although I did not fight in the war. I was not a hippie but I protested the war passionately. My allegiance departed sharply and quickly when so many people turned on the warrior survivors. This was a troubling time in America. Thank you, Kristin, for exposing us to ourselves. The 1960s & 1970s were confusing and challenging time. Never more than for those honorable men AND women who served and survived. Thank you most of all. It is ironic that the President was impeached for Watergate. But lying to the people and thus allowing so many of our young people to be sent to that meat grinder was allowed to slip into history with no retribution. The dark side of America.

I was shocked within the first few minutes at the exaggerations and wholly flawed statements contained in them.
I would have enjoyed the approach as she is a very satirical writer. However her flawed and fantasized sense of reality blocks any logical thinking from occurring because of her work.

What would have made Deliver Us from Evil better?
The level of cockiness and self promotion was extreme. Even when trying to sound humble and God-serving it came across as self-serving.
What could Ralph Sarchie and Lisa Collier Cool have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
