This book is so SLOOOOWWW and odd it is painful to listen too. It seems to be taking 9 hours to make a single argument - get up earlier to make the time to take care of your mental and physical health. What if you are a night owl? I find Robin Sharma's ideas to be good, but his writing to be so basic and in your face that it seems I'm reading an elementary school chapter book.

Although the story originally pulled me in, the story’s pace is so fast it was disorienting. I wanted to empathize with the main character and be taken on a journey of discovery with her. But the storyline and character development is so shallow, that at times this book felt repulsively cliche. I kept expecting the book to challenge my thinking and give me some real insight on marriage, and then the book suddenly ended. As I was listening to the book, I thought it was just the end of act 1 / end of a chapter...but then the closing credits came and I was left thinking...huh? I just spent money on this??? For what? It feels like the author was a kid who had a great idea and then didn’t want to put in the effort to write a real book so just ended it quickly, right after getting it started.

Taylor does a great job of touching on many factors from the past and the present that are shaping the way work will look in the future. If you want to remain relevant in the future, make the most of your present and break old habits of the past...this is a must read. Thank you Taylor for writing this. Although I look from
a different perspective on the thoughts and books you mentioned, the parallels in our work are uncanny. Looking forward to more from you!
