Historia
On Earth, political tensions boil over between the United Americas, Union of Progressive Peoples, and Three World Empire. Conflict spreads to the outer fringes, and the UK colony of New Albion breaks with the Three World empire. This could lead to a Colony War. Trapped in the middle are journalist Cher Hunt, scientist Chad McLaren, and the synthetic Davis. Cher, seeking to discover who caused the death of her sister, Shy Hunt, uncovers a far bigger story. McLaren’s mission, fought alongside his wife, is to stop the militarization of the deadliest weapon of all—the Xenomorph.

Very Engaging Story
Revisado: 05-19-24
A part from a few political views here and there that could have being avoided, the story is actually one of the best I have read so far. It’s very engaging and could definitely be an awesome movie. Performance is great as well.

Though unaware of the danger it poses, the scientists there recognize their prize's immeasurable value. Early tests reveal little, however, and they come to an inevitable conclusion. They need a human test subject.... Enter Zula Hendricks.

The Performance Saved it
Revisado: 04-25-24
I liked the performance and fortunately it was good. Because the story is not much engaging as I hoped and it is lacking. It is still nice to know a bit more of the story but in some moments I had a hard time to continue.

A bit boring
Revisado: 12-17-23
I didn’t get much from this book, but probably because I’m not new to these types of material. In any case, I have learnt one thing from it, which is more than enough.
Unfortunately, I have found difficult to stay engaged the entire time. It was more ups and down.

You are improving.
Revisado: 06-18-20
I’ve noticed you improved from the first episode, well done. The books you talk about are clearer now although I would prefer to read the list of the books in the app’s description in the same order you talk on the episode.
A problem I have is that I don’t understand all of you clearly, probably because English is not my main language but also because not all of you articulate well enough, or at least I have this feeling. This problem is also mixed with the audio difference, some of you has a good audio, others don’t and the volume is different. But I know you can’t do much about it due to the situation, it’ll be better in the future.
Lastly, the length is ok, not more than 30 minutes but I‘d like to hear some more engagement on the titles you talk about. Why this title is worth listening, what’s the scenario, how this title fit in the history of Sci-Fi, what’s a particular detail that you can share without spoiling, what are you learning after listening... More passion and richness. But you’re getting there. :)

Historia
Liz Murray was born to loving but drug-addicted parents in the Bronx. In school she was taunted for her dirty clothing and lice-infested hair, eventually skipping so many classes that she was put into a girls' home. At age 15, Liz found herself on the streets when her family finally unraveled. She learned to scrape by, foraging for food and riding subways all night to have a warm place to sleep. Then, when Liz's mother died of AIDS, she decided to take control of her own destiny.

Awesome Book!
Revisado: 04-28-20
It's an increadible story, well written and well narrated. It's one of my best books so far. I would definitely read a Breaking Night 2 and have more detailed on the follow-up part until today (I encourage you to write it and read it) :).
I've watched the movie too but this book is better and more complete. I just wish you all the best Liz and I hope to find other books like yours that will inspire my life. Thanks for sharing yours.

Historia
The Covenant mission is the most ambitious endeavor in the history of Weyland-Yutani. A ship bound for Origae-6, carrying 2,000 colonists beyond the limits of known space, this is a make-or-break investment for the corporation - and for the future of all mankind. Yet there are those who would die to stop the mission. As the colony ship hovers in Earth orbit, several violent events reveal a deadly conspiracy to sabotage the launch.

What was happening before Covenant’s departure?
Revisado: 02-11-20
I can see there is a split feeling about this book, probably depending on the expectations people had. I didn’t have any so I could enjoy it.
There are no monsters involved and all the story is about what happened before the Covenant begins its journey. Someone dreamt about the dangers and tried to stop the mission.
I like this saga a lot so I like any different details I can get from the story. And this addiction is interesting too, although I’ve found sometimes the dialogues a bit slow and too predictable.
Furthermore, I appreciate the effort of the narrator to distinguish various different voices and I believe he did a great job.

Historia
There just isn't enough time for everything on our to-do list - and there never will be. Successful people don't try to do everything. They learn to focus on the most important tasks and make sure those get done. They eat their frogs. There's an old saying that if the first thing you do each morning is eat a live frog, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you're done with the worst thing you'll have to do all day. For Tracy, eating a frog is a metaphor for tackling your most challenging task - but also the one that can have the greatest positive impact on your life.

You can find here a lot of useful information all packed in one short audiobook. I knew already much of it but I've appreciated the simplicity and all the new info I didn't know yet. It's a must read and re-read again in the future and begin to apply daily most of it.

Revisado: 12-03-19
I like that it's short and get to the point. The most of the content is something I use to live already but it was nice to hear it again and also to find some new things to think about. I liked the narrator too that I believe did a good job to create the right tone for this book.

Why does a lack of sleep impair our cognitive abilities and leave us vulnerable to a host of medical issues ranging from obesity to reduced resistance to infectious disease?

This is long, sometimes boring and it took me a lot of time to finish but the reality is that's a great course with lots of stuff in it. You will definitely have a better understanding of your sleep or sleeping in general is. It definitely helped me to understand more about what to do.
