I loved Jada’s honestly and vulnerability in this book. At times, you could hear her emotions through her voice (one moment that stuck out involved a moment with Debbie Allen). She gives you a look at her self realization and what it took for her to get to where she is. The book isn’t messy as the media paints it. Very powerful book that’s beautifully told. 🫶🏽

Great ready! Feel it’ll be helpful on my road to recovery

Years....I spent years thinking I was the problem. Years of being told it was me (when he was upset), and years of him apologizing and telling blame when he wasn’t. I dealt with a covert narcissist while also dealing with postpartum depression that eventually turned into depression.
I downloaded this book as a step to regain my own strength. I’ve finally realized his tactics weren’t normal and it isn’t my fault and this book has shed so much light on this topic for me.

Honestly, I didn't read the entire title. I planned on playing this for background noise while at work. Definitely worth the download and listen. I enjoyed hearing Robyn's story told, by herself, for the first time. She At certain points, you can hear a crack in Robyn's voice, making this even more realistic. She is sharing the story of her life, which also included Whitney Houston. I am new to audible, I was hoping to be able to see images from the book.
I also loved the random facts thrown in (uncredited backing vocals, Cissy behind the scenes, etc.).
