Historia
College student Joe Talbert has the modest goal of completing a writing assignment for an English class. His task is to interview a stranger and write a brief biography of the person. With deadlines looming, Joe heads to a nearby nursing home to find a willing subject. There he meets Carl Iverson, and soon nothing in Joe's life is ever the same. Carl is a dying Vietnam veteran-and a convicted murderer. With only a few months to live, he has been medically paroled to a nursing home after spending thirty years in prison for the crimes of rape and murder.

I really enjoyed this book, the narrator was excellent also. Joe is a college student who just needs to write a biography on somebody. Since his own family is somewhat dysfunctional he heads to a nursing home. There he finds Carl, a dying murderer, or not? Joe has stumbled onto a 30 year old murder case, and through reading the transcripts he and his neighbor Lila find new evidence that just may clear him. This story kept me engaged with all its twists and turns

Alice is caught up in a murder scheme. She is hired to run a new art gallery that just opened. But as she comes to work on her first day she finds the man who hired her dead. This book had a lot of twists and turns and toward the end a lot of surprises. The narrator did a great job, I would highly recommend this book to people who like mysteries

And now Cam is torn by his oath to uphold justice and his family obligations as chief of the Scottish McDonald clan.

Timely story
Revisado: 02-06-18
This is a topic that could be talked about at length at a book club. Jamie McDonald kills his wife Maggie because she had terminal cancer and was in massive pain. Jamie swears that she asked him to kill her, however, nothing was put into writing. Jamie’s cousin is the chief of police, in fact a lot of McDonalds love in the city. So Jamie goes on trial. In a back story, the chief of police cheats on his wife Ally after she hires a new worker in the florist shop she owns. Over all I enjoyed the book and would recommend it

Historia
Merry Knight is pretty busy these days. She's taking care of her family, baking cookies, decorating for the holidays, and hoping to stay out of the crosshairs of her stressed and by-the-book boss at the consulting firm where she temps. Her own social life is the last thing she has in mind, much less a man. Without her knowledge, Merry's well-meaning mom and brother create an online dating profile for her - minus her photo - and the matches start rolling in. Initially, Merry is incredulous, but she reluctantly decides to give it a whirl.

Cute Christmas story
Revisado: 11-11-17
Debbie Macomber always writes good stories. This one will really get you into the Christmas spirit. Merry is working as a temp during the holidays, her boss is a tyrant. Unbeknownst to Merry her mother and brother sign her up on a dating site for her birthday. She is at first upset, but tries it out anyway. There she meets a Jay (aka Jason) her boss at work. She does not realize this until they plan to meet. The story has little surprises, but I really liked it.
