Greatly Expanded On The Original
Revisado: 08-26-20
The story in this book seemed to blow up compared to the first one in the series. It's definitely taking good advantage of the potential of the setting. As a sci-fi fan, I don't enjoyed the backdrop to this story. It felt like a lot happened in this one, and it makes me very excited for the next release.

Historia
In a twist of fate, a young Latino girl acquires a strange gift and can control time only for herself. Penny reminds us: "Time is strange, and I would have thought it had many paths, but for some reason, you can't go back. My path leads to ruin." Penny's only hope, she thought, was to steal a "Time Machine" and go to an unknown future, where she finds things become more terrible than she ever thought possible. Penny then takes the time to tell us her story. With the nature of what time is, the trip can lead only one way. There is no path back home.

Interesting Start
Revisado: 08-25-20
This is a very interesting story with lots of fascinating and fun concepts. The format is rather unique in the audiobook world. I've talked to the author, and he explained his vision for audiobooks that are adapted to maintain the pace of films and television. This is a fascinating idea, and I look forward to listening to his future works.

This was a nice addition to the Dragon Daughter book. It built upon the world established in that first book nicely.

Awesome!

I had a really great time with this book, and was fully enthralled by it. It certainly has merit to rival the big-name YA titles of the last few years. The plot, in particular, reminded me of Divergent, but an easy to follow yet suitably complex bit of political intrigue really makes this title stand out.

Extremely Engaging Novel

I've never listened to a story in this genre before, so I went into it not knowing what to expect. But I found myself thoroughly enthralled in it, looking forward with every chapter to find out what happens next. The only reason I docked one star from the performance was because at times, it was really difficult to tell the difference between the inner monologue and the dialogue, so that caused some slight confusion.

Historia
The Trouble with Liam is a powerful psychological thriller set in Ireland and Sheffield. It tells the story of the life of Liam O’Sullivan in all its twisted glory. It begins with tales of his challenging childhood in Dublin and follows him through the sometimes tragic events which change him into a misogynistic, controlling, ultimately lethal bully living in Sheffield.

Historia
In space, mutiny means death - that’s why Inspector General Park Yerim is taking her investigation so seriously. The alleged mutineer is Captain Nicolau Aames, whose command of the massive Earth-Mars vessel Aldrin has come under fire. The vast System Initiative says he disobeyed orders, but his crew swears he’s in the right. En route to Mars, Park gathers testimony from the Aldrin’s diverse crew, painting a complex picture of Aames’s character: his heroism, his failures, even his personal passions.

I don't remember how I got this book. I think it might have been a first pick or something like that. But I'm extremely happy I have it. The sections, while feeling like disjointed, disparate tales, wind together into an excellently crafted tapestry by the end. The conclusion left me utterly conflicted, only because I was so enthralled in the characters.
