Heartwarming, well written, great characters
Revisado: 04-19-25
This is my favorite KC book. It kept my attention (most books don't) and the characters are likable and well written. Narration was good.

Historia
Isaac has never been what he seems. Rumor has it that gruff, brooding, and solitary man-of-mystery Isaac Sylvester is back in town, and the only thing folks in Green Valley know for certain is that this prodigal son’s motives are as elusive as he is. He’s been spotted loitering near the old Townsen farm, hanging around the Hill's homestead, and glaring menacingly from the edges of The Donner Lodge’s parking lot. What this hometown-hero-turned-criminal wants, no one knows. Nor can they stop talking about it. Hannah's last night as an exotic dancer might just be her most memorable.

Didn't like the characters...no chemistry
Revisado: 04-02-25
DNF. I didn't connect with the characters, the story was boring, and I wasn't rooting for anyone. Zero chemistry b/w the main characters.

Historia
Lana Fleming’s sister has vanished from the set of TV’s hottest show, and no one seems to care. Desperate for answers, Lana sneaks in as an extra, only to get stranded with Griffin Hart, an A-list action star with a reputation for good abs and bad decisions. Though Griffin didn’t expect to be cast as a librarian’s sidekick in a real-life thriller, he’s weirdly into it—and into her. Even more unsettling—she sees right through his playboy persona. But their meet-cute soon turns deadly when they uncover a Hollywood scandal for the ages.

Cute and clean!
Revisado: 03-21-25
This was a cute story. I loved that it had very little bad language and that it was wholesome. The story was a little cheesy at times but overall, a great listen. Narrators were great, especially Rebekah Ross, who is one of my favs.

Good enough to finish
Revisado: 03-11-25
I hated the first half of this book...hated all the characters and the writing. KC writes her "mom" characters all the same and I'm tired of the awful mom trope. It did get better the second half and I mostly enjoyed it. Narration was pretty good for the most part.

Not terrible but not good either
Revisado: 02-25-25
I am a Katherine Center fan but this book annoyed the heck out of me. Also, narration was frustrating as the main character sounded exasperated 100% of the time. It was exhausting to listen to. Not my fav....

This sweet story had likable characters and kept me engaged. The ending was a little rushed and why I gave 4.5 stars instead of 5. Excellent narration.

Historia
Nick is the most attractive man Nella has met in a while. It's not just his 9* good looks (no one gets a 10!), but also that infectious smile. And he's definitely noticed her. But with their homes so far apart, it's one of those delightful flirty moments you enjoy and forget. Then Nella loses her job. There's a perfect new role on offer at a luxury Cotswolds holiday retreat. The catch is that her boss would be Nick. The good news: she'd be seeing him again.

Sadie Montgomery never saw what was coming . . . Literally! One minute she’s celebrating the biggest achievement of her life—placing as a finalist in the North American Portrait Society competition—the next she’s lying in a hospital bed diagnosed with a “probably temporary” condition known as face blindness. She can see, but every face she looks at is now a jumbled puzzle of disconnected features. Imagine trying to read a book upside down and in another language. This is Sadie’s new reality.

Historia
Dr. Briana Ortiz’s life is seriously flatlining. Her divorce is just about finalized, her brother’s running out of time to find a kidney donor, and that promotion she wants? Oh, that’s probably going to the new man-doctor who’s already registering eighty-friggin’-seven on Briana’s “pain in my ass” scale. But just when all systems are set to hate, Dr. Jacob Maddox completely flips the game . . . by sending Briana a letter. And it’s a really good letter. Like the kind that proves that Jacob isn’t actually Satan.

Revisado: 04-21-23
This was okay. I finished, but barely. Male narrator-5 stars...female narrator-2 stars. I don't know if it was the tone of the female narration, or just the the actual character, but I did not like Brianna.

Revisado: 03-17-23
I just finished The Selection series which wasn't amazing, but it did keep my interest and I enjoyed it. I was hoping for something similar but I could not get into this book. There was no character development and the story was boring. Narration was perfect.
