I just finished this book via Audible and overall I thought it was very well done. I appreciated learning more about Frank Kameny and the history of the LGBTQ rights movement prior to Stonewall. I learned about the book when I came across the author's website, which promoted me to also listen to his podcast. Overall he comes across as an attention seeking Weho gay who is a bit out of touch and desperate for anyone and everyone to read his book. I think the book stands on its own as a great text. I am curious how so many specific details were acquired or if they were developed for theatrical purposes, which wouldn't be surprising.

I truly appreciated the candor in the writing of this book and hearing about Swoosie’s experience over her decades.

I am a big fan of Whitney Cummings but not so much of this book. There were some clear stretches to express emotion that just never landed. Also, she talks about her own therapy as if it it was the universal approach to therapy. It’s clear she has undergone psychoanalysis. I wish the book was a bit deeper and even a bit funnier.

Joe Biden’s humanity, compassion and emotional vulnerability are what makes him a great person. His ability to be so open about the loss of his son truly highlight his core values. This book is a must read (or audible).

This work is certain to be a seminal text for the future study of black LGBTQ health. The editor's approach to include the intersections of race, sexual orientation, gender identity, and religison was extremely well done. This text should be a must read for anyone working, studying or researching in the field of LGBTQ health. Bravo/a to the editors and the authors for their work on this text. The concepts of socio-cultural and socio-political health described in this book are groundbreaking and I am sure that the authors will continue on to conduct important research in the field of black LGBTQ health.
