This series makes my heart happy! The guys of the Nest were so fun, sexy, and heart-warming. I loved the found family aspects of the whole series and though they were all moved out by the end of the series, it was a great way for them all to meet.

Tedi and Tweetie had a lot of baggage to work through, but their love is worth it all. This may have been the angstiest book in the series but that made their love all the more satisfying. They know one another so well but there was also new things to learn.

They even made some flashbacks work for me! I thought it was clever to do these via journal entries and I was surprised how engaged I was by them. It's a personal pet peeve when flashbacks are relied on too heavily, but these worked for me.

I truly loved this series and I can't wait for whatever series Piper Rayne does next!

This was my first romance novel from this author. But I'm always up for a Hockey Romance and so I jumped on it. And I think you will like it too, if you like:

A Single Mom
Rivals to Lovers
Rom Com Vibes
Hockey PLayer getting tips from a Former Olympic Skater
A Dirty Talking MMC

This had just the right amount of heartwarming moments, great supporting characters, and a hot flaring romance. It may spark quickly but I also believed that they would fall for each other this way. They have a lot in common and it made it very believable.

Narrated by Samantha Brentmoor and Teddy Hamilton, and what else can I say about that? Who better to spend a few hours with?

NO one writes me me a romance like Julia Wolf!

just finished the audio book which was duet narrated by Emma Wilder & Sean Masters. They were amazing! I already loved this book but they elevated it so much!

Now onto the rest of the review!!!

I will always be a romance reader, but some seasons are tougher than others. Certain trends and styles can get annoying or make me frustrated. There is something I treasure about picking up a new book from Julia Wolf because I know she will put her all into whatever couple she has written.

I can feel her reverence for deep and abiding love come through on the page. It aches with trueness and bleeds sincerity. And though the couple may be idealized in many ways, they can also feel real. I've known couples like these and I do believe in love like this. It leaves me smiling and swooning constantly. There's just something extra special.

So going into the Kelly Ranch, I had nothing but high expectations. Those expectations were met and I cannot wait for more in this series. The Kelly's are a standout family in the Julia Wolf backlist for me, as with many fans, so I am so excited to dive deeper into their lives. Though I was chomping at the bit for more of Lock and Elena, I think she sprinkled in just enough without letting them take attention from our new couple.

There were some painful and real issues that Remi and Hannah have to face, and I felt the legitimate struggle for them. Pain of the past and misunderstandings, grief and heartbreak that have hardened hearts. But the journey to new love is beautiful.

I loved how the Kelly's were a Found Family for Remi and though they give him a hard time when he first returns, they welcome him in with open arms. I loved how Hannah gave him a hard time, yet as she learned more of the truth, she softened to him. They were quite the pair together and compatible in many ways.

And as always, the heat gets HOT in this one. They have some very delicious scenes, especially one in a truck where they just can't wait a second longer. So delightful.

Overall, this was absolutely another hit for me and Julia Wolf reigns supreme as a favorite author for me.

Listen, this is not a healthy relationship. I don't think Rina Kent will ever be accused of writing about a healthy relationship. I think when some authors become more popular or get put in the spotlight, it's maybe expected that they have more safe subjects in their stories. That is not the case here and I never expected it to be. This was twisted, toxic, and uncomfortable. Like other books before it, this starts with an assault. It is shocking and it is hard to watch.

But also, it had some of the most moving scenes I've read all year. I truly believe that something wild and unrestrained comes out when Rina writes relationships like this. I was riveted from start to finish. I didn't know how this couple could find an HEA, but I believed it. I was hooked.

Just don't go into this expecting anything less than the craziest thing Rina Kent has ever written. It's a cross between Malice and Fury, with a forbidden professor/student relationship thrown in. I think if you enjoyed those two, this book will speak to you. I still think Niko and Bran are my favorite couple, but Kayde & Gareth made their impression as well.

Look, I actively warm people away from Rina Kent as much as I recommend her. It's all about what you can handle, and I suggest you make sure Dark Romance is really what you want to read and not just a trend you want to jump on. Because that truly makes all the difference. It is shocking and painful and hard to watch sometimes. But I've always loved a story with a tough journey and this had a twisted but beautiful one.

On a final note, I am looking forward to Hunt the Villain, I think the couple is very well seeded in this book and anyone not interested doesn't have to read it. It's as simple as that.

The narration was spectacular. I loved the full cast narration with the lead skill of Stephen Dexter & Grayson Owen carrying the day!

I gobbled this one up in one sitting. I had a rough week, laid up with an injury and this naughty little delight was just what the doctor ordered. Well, maybe not, but it was still fun!
Birdie and Violet have such a sweet, forbidden relationship. Stepsisters they may be, but I could feel how deep their connection was. Living under the thumb of Violet's mother, they turn to Alaric, Violet’s ex, to help them out.

How is he helping them out? Well, by buying Birdie’s hand in marriage in an auction, of course! And it ain't even as simple as that. So buckle up!

This was a spicy little novella and I truly enjoyed myself, listening to the audio in just a few hours. It was narrated by Michelle Sparks, Angelina Rocca and Stephen Borne. They were all well done, though I did find the male narrators's depiction of the women to be slightly off base. Just being honest!

This Story Had Me Gripped

This was my first book by this author and I will definitely go back and read the first series.

However, there was certainly enough here to grip me and hold on tight. I know I was a little lost when there were references to the previous war, but the fallout is what we are dealing with here. We are five years out from the previous series and Wren heads off to an ancient alchemy academy of Drevenor to find a cure to the dark magic threatening the kingdoms. Alchemy is her passion and the way she can best serve her kingdom.

Because she is also an heir, she is sent with a bodyguard- Torj Elderbrok. Boy do they have some complicated history. The kind with sexual tension galore. There is also the little fact that she assassinated the last guy he was charged with protecting, which prevented him from getting a position he'd been up for. So yeah, he's carrying a bit of a grudge.

Now he is shadowing her every step and even sharing her bathroom, as he is put in an adjoining suite to keep an eye on her. Which of course leads to some hot run ins at inopportune times.

As they spend more time together and their walls start to lower, there is more attention paid to the wild connection between them. The kind that is more than just attraction but a strange alchemy of its own. The more Torj discovers about this connection, the deeper he falls for Wren.

Wren has her hands full with learning and honing her craft and that is not made easier by having a hunk like Torj stalking her steps. But she does manage to learn some new tricks and make some new friends while fighting for top marks at the academy. I really liked the new characters she met and the connections she was making.

I truly ached for Torj and Wren. I wanted them to work out so badly! I will be pining away for them until we get our next installment in July. In the meantime, I will busy myself with catching up on the rest of the stories in Thezmarr.

I also listened to this on audio and it was performed to perfection by Emilia Bauer & Matt Haynes.

I love falling into a story from this author. They are always a flowery and poetic, yet still edgy and not afraid of the dark topics. There's a delicate balance to strike.

Otto and Raven have literally danced around one another for years. Seeing things finally bubble up and boil over was a delight. After some threats to Raven, she needs watching over, so she stays with Otto, and he has no chance to resist her. ☺️ We love to see it.

The longing and mutual pining were at their finest, and I loved seeing them both heal together from some past pains. Both because of each other and from outside troubles.

I loved the performance by Connor Crais & Desiree Ketchum. They really brought the story to life for me.

I knew I was gonna find a whole new appreciation for this story when I listened to it. Stella Hunter and Jack Hesperus were a master pair in this production, the duet style was a wonderful way to do this chilling story. Frankie and her men come alive in a new way, each character voice was carefully crafted and performed to perfection.

Jack especially had a tall order, with 5 unique men to inhabit. He made them each distinct. The amount of different types of growls and snarls he did for these guys.. it was amazing. Haha! And Stella had me aching for Frankie and every situation she found herself in. It was hard to listen to some of this, even more painful than reading it for myself.

I was truly impressed and I wish I could give it 6 Stars. I can't wait to listen to the other ones as well.

This was my first Deborah Garland. When I say this gorgeous cover was available in Audio, I jumped on it.

My cup was full for sure!

I thought this was fast paced, exciting and steamy AF. Isabella was fierce and she has dreams too. She's heartbroken after losing her mother and desperate to escape from under her father's thumb. Without her mother there to take it, his abuse is turning to her.

Luckily, or unluckily, Kieran has his eye on her and thinks she will be the perfect jewel for his crown. He just isn't expecting her to demand more from him. He thinks his desires are too dark for his Mafia Princess but... he is a fool. Haha!

I really loved the give and take between them and though Kieran got stupidly frustrating at some points, it made his fall into her arms that much sweeter.

Powerfully performed by Tyler Griffen and Lexi Evans, I would recommend for the romance reader who doesn't mind having their cheeks burn in public...

Her alpha heroes are absolute cinnamon rolls and I just want to eat them all up.

Even when writing an Office Romance with a boss and a secretary, which can be a tough power imbalance to manage. This was sweet, funny, sexy, and just a delight.

I loved Maggie and Alex together. She was charming right from the start. He was so grumpy but with a heart of gold. She wins him over with her competence and great cooking skills. He sweeps her off her feet with praise and treats her like a princess. And he adopts a cute kitten with her. Yes, that's a big help.

If you are looking for low angst, great steam, with a dash of hidden relationship, this is the perfect recipe for you.
