Intrigue, sweetness, suspense

Just excellent!! I searched “detective” and this jewel came up! The narration is excellent and it has all aspects of a great detective book, for me anyway. I don’t like scary or gross triggers. This was just what I was looking for.

Historia
Lana Fleming’s sister has vanished from the set of TV’s hottest show, and no one seems to care. Desperate for answers, Lana sneaks in as an extra, only to get stranded with Griffin Hart, an A-list action star with a reputation for good abs and bad decisions. Though Griffin didn’t expect to be cast as a librarian’s sidekick in a real-life thriller, he’s weirdly into it—and into her. Even more unsettling—she sees right through his playboy persona. But their meet-cute soon turns deadly when they uncover a Hollywood scandal for the ages.

New friendships and new loves
Revisado: 03-03-25
Fifth Avenue Story Society is such an intriguing story. A bit of a mystery, but mostly about strangers coming together and forming forever bonds. It is very well written, even with many main stories, I never felt lost or disconnected from any charter. You cheer for them all!

Revisado: 02-08-25
Is this a hidden gem, or am I just out of the loop? So well read! And amazingly written. I did not get tired of the series through all 3 books. If you’re a Lord of The Rings fan this, in my opinion, is right up there with it. Very highly recommend!

It says a lot that I’d listen to AI
Revisado: 01-10-25
It says so much about the story, that I am willing to listen to this AI voice. Inflection in the wrong places, words mispronounced, and you never know which character is speaking because they all sound EXACTLY the same. AI voice is so terribly annoying, but the story and writing are so well done, I’m pushing through. Hopefully future books in the series will have a human reading!!!

Needs an adult themes advisory
Revisado: 01-05-25
This book has a great story line, but if you’re not into the pretty raunchy, in my opinion, then it is not for you. I think, as many books on Audible have, this needs an adult themes advisory in the description. I didn’t finish it. It got a little much for me.

Revisado: 08-16-24
I thoroughly loved this book!
Possible spoiler alert:
Bravo Lily!!
Such an excellent story of forgiveness and kindness, as well as the things we all wish we could say and do to those who hurt us.
This is JUST like my divorce, except I wasn’t brave enough for the sweet, and sly revenge. I’ve always said that there’s a guide book out there that men, who are leaving their families, read and they all go by the same script. This book is proof that my ex was such a cliche. I couldn’t have listened to it until recently; even years later I would have been too raw, but I laughed so much at the irony.

All you want in a romance
Revisado: 04-12-24
Start at number one! These books are sweet, with just enough intrigue to keep it interesting. I really enjoyed the whole series, and that each book brings in all the characters. I also like the Christian aspect, and the fact that I’m not going along, wrapped up in the story, then out of nowhere explicit sex is being described. Moving on to her next series.

Excellent mystery, with so much sadness
Revisado: 03-18-24
This book came up with the tag clean and wholesome. I’ll give it the clean, but yikes!! It is heavy and triggering. If you’re looking for an excellent mystery, with some extremely tragic scenarios, this is the book for you. If you’re looking for an easy-breezy listen, please, find something else. I ran the reading on 1.2. As I mentioned, it is a heavy book, and the slow cadence made it feel even heavier. All-in-all though, the story is a journey, and isn’t that what a book is supposed to be?
