Historia
What happens when the President of the United States governs one Tweet at a time? When the elected leader of the free world may not have a firm grasp on the names of government agencies, much less an understanding of their intricate inner-workings? In the days following the 2016 inauguration, government personnel searched for answers that didn’t exist, while White House staff scoured halls for employees who would never be appointed.

Unsung heroes and how the greedy and ignorant will stop them
Revisado: 04-03-24
Michael C Lewis has away with words that can make the most mundane topics, both fascinating and poignant. This particular book was pretty surprising. In a time when our country is so divided, as usual, Michael has done a great job of pointing out facts that everyone, regardless of your political affiliation, should know. Everyone should understand what these heroes have accomplished, their impact on our lives, and how the United States government has enabled them, and why capitalism alone would not have had the result we all want as a society from these heroes’ impact. He describes how important it is for us to continue to enable such heroes through, otherwise rarely talked about, and often misunderstood components of the United States government.

Historia
Brian Clegg was always fascinated by Isaac Asimov’s classic Foundation series of books, in which the future is predicted using sophisticated mathematical modeling of human psychology and behavior. Only much later did he realize that Asimov’s "psychohistory" had a real-world equivalent: game theory. Originating in the study of probabilistic gambling games that depend on a random source—the throw of a dice or the toss of a coin—game theory soon came to be applied to human interactions: essentially, what was the best strategy to win whatever you were doing?

Tough to follow and a PDF would have helped
Revisado: 03-13-24
I enjoyed learning the different parts of game theory. The math behind it was impossible to follow audibly. Often the book referred to diagrams, but this audio book did not include a PDF, so the illustrations of the theory were unable to be as understood as they could have been otherwise. Disappointing

It is already helping!
Revisado: 01-12-23
I have golfed for over 30 years and have very much struggled with consistency in my game. I’m starting to realize, because of this book, it’s not my swing, that’s inconsistent… It’s my mental approach to the game! I read this book over the course of two weeks and have played two rounds of golf so far and they both been some of my best. But the thing that I enjoyed the most is that using The techniques in this book to focus my energy, I enjoyed it more than ever simply by remaining focused on the task at hand, and not letting emotion get in the way of both my enjoyment, and my ability to perform. Absolutely brilliant. Why didn’t I read this 30 years ago??
