the book was good, the story was good, the narrator, however, was fantastic! Truly brought this book to life! Every character was defined and acted with great detail and creative imagination! Can't wait for book number 2!

Loved every minute of this book... too short...I wanted more. it was, however, truly the narrator that brought real magic to this piece.... the characters were so alive it felt like watching a movie!!! Can I have some more please?!?

amazing book... Horrible narration!

this book was amazing! As we have all come to expect from Lynn flewelling! :-) however, when a new narrator comes on board in the middle of a series... It should be absolutely required that they listen to the previous books in order to pronounce the names of the characters and the places correctly! There is nothing more frustrating or distracting than to listen to a narrator who is saying everything wrong. The story is definitely five stars, but listening to this book was a real trial... Very disappointing!

Don't even bother with the abridged version!

As an avid Wheel of Time fan, I was extatic to find the series in unabridged audio format. I've actually read the series (what's been released so far, anyway) no less than 7 times. The unabridged versions of the series are excellent. They are very well read and the two narrators bring the true depth of the characters to life. These abridged versions are poorly narrated and a waste of even two hours of my time. Not to mention, it's obvious the guy reading the abridged versions has obviously NEVER read the glossary in the back of the books. All the names and places are mis-pronounced! Very frustrating. Especially to those who know the series well. There is just NO WAY to truly capture the intricate nuances of these multi-teared novels in two hours. Don't waste YOUR time!! Wait for the unabridged editions. You'll be glad you did!
