Historia
Only weeks ago, former Navy SEAL Jedidiah Johnson, head of Joshua Bravo team at the Shepherds, helped to defeat Victor, the leader of the devil’s Dark Ones. Now, his boss, Ben Morvant, has tasked him with an even harder mission: Take a vacation. But before Jed has even managed to hit the beach in the Dominican Republic, he comes face-to-face with a new evil: Orphans are being abducted right off the streets of Santo Domingo. Are these disappearances just an unfortunate crime in an unfamiliar country, or do they hint at something bigger?

Amazing book, as usual
Revisado: 04-28-25
I read a lot of books, probably 2-3 books a week on average. Half fiction and half non fiction, but the Shepherd Series is by far my favorite fiction series. I look forward to every book in the series and for this one, I dropped the two books I was partway thru to listen to this one start to finish. The Shepherd books are very well written and suck you into the events and characters. I would say the best part of this series is they want you to improve your life, your decisions and so you are squarely on the side of God, fighting for God and against the devil. Please keep the books in the Shepherd Series coming!

Historia
The Vision of the Anointed is a devastating critique of the mindset behind the failed social policies of the past thirty years. Thomas Sowell sees what has happened not as a series of isolated mistakes, but as a logical consequence of a vision whose defects have led to disasters in education, crime, family disintegration, and other social pathology. In this book, "politically correct" theory is repeatedly confronted with facts-and sharp contradictions between the two are explained in terms of a whole set of self-congratulatory assumptions held by political and intellectual elites.

Thomas Sowell is a national treasure
Revisado: 03-07-25
The Vision of the Anointed by Thomas Sowell is an outstanding book. Since the book was written decades ago, Sowell has continued to be proven true over and over again. Those in politics and government who “claim” the moral high ground with words alone, lacking any facts or long term data, change laws or policies in a self proclaimed attempt to “help the poor”, only make the poor more dependent on government handouts (aka: US taxpayers money) while lining their own pockets with much of our funds.
Sowell shows the actual “vision of the anointed” is to take the money from those of us who work hard and “redistribute” to themselves and those they deem worthy of our money, often their corporate donors, friends, family members and themselves. The self proclaimed “anointed” only want power over the masses and will say and do anything to keep that power once they have it. Sowell explains this is detail. Great book. I highly recommend it.

Historia
It is difficult to find another soldier's story to equal Captain Darrell Watt's in terms of time spent on the field of battle and challenges faced. Even by the lofty standards of the SAS and Special Forces, one has to look far to find anyone who can match his record of resilience and valor in the face of such daunting odds and with resources so paltry. In the fight, he showed himself to be a military maestro. After 12 years in the cauldron of war, his cause slipped from beneath him, and Rhodesia gave way to Zimbabwe.

Great book
Revisado: 01-25-25
This is a great book. It contains first hand accounts of a few of the SAS soldiers who served on behalf of Rhodesia. They give their accounts of battles they fought, weapons they used, wild animals they confronted and the end of their country. It’s such a crime that too many of the most powerful countries in the world gave in to communism in African countries just because the black “leaders” claimed it was “social justice”. It was not, those black leaders were communists and anyone who studies communism knows they will say and do anything to take over. Such a shame and the last few years have shown the awful outcome of communist takeovers. Great book.

Historia
The Naked Communist has sold almost two million copies. It found its way into the libraries of the CIA, the FBI, the White House, and homes all across America and the world. The Naked Communist contains a distillation of more than a hundred books and treatises on communism, many written by Marxist authors. We see the communist the way he sees himself - stripped of propaganda and pretense. Explained here is the amazing appeal of communism, its history, and its basic and unchanging concepts.

More important now than ever before in history!
Revisado: 12-12-24
The Naked Communist was written in 1962, but the information Skousen shares is just as vital now as it was when he wrote it. Americans, the world have become soft to the realities of communism. Just looking at the true history of communism in the USSR and China will teach us that more human beings died for “communist revolution” than World War 2, but that is not what the US education system is teaching young people.
My college student daughter is forced to take asinine classes like “climate change” and “oppression of Native Americans” to get a science degree from the state university. This is absurd and why Americans had better get out crap together or fail as a nation. I absolutely recommend The Naked Communist and have bought the book for my family members for Christmas.

Historia
Behind most major political stories in the modern era, there is an agenda - an effort by opposition researchers, spin doctors, and outside interests to destroy an idea or a person. The tactic they use is the Smear. Every day, Americans are influenced by the Smear without knowing it. Paid forces cleverly shape virtually every image you cross. Maybe you read that Donald Trump is a racist misogynist or saw someone on the news mocking the Bernie Sanders campaign. The trick of the Smear is that it is often based on some shred of truth.

Revisado: 11-21-24
The Smear is an eye opening book about who started the “fake news” and how all of it revolves around David Brock and Hillary Clinton. Brock is an evil liar who has made millions by destroying the lives and reputations of countless human beings. His “success” has led to more people picking up his lying, smearing campaigns, including what most would consider “main stream media” outlets. These are disgusting people who care nothing for the lives they have destroyed.
Thank you to Sharyl Attikson for opening the eyes of anyone willing to see the deceit and the shameful smear ‘artists’ behind them. Great book packed with great information.

Historia
Follow the Science recounts, in exacting detail, how far the pharmaceutical industry and its supporters in medicine, media, and government will go to protect their profits. Attkisson provides shocking examples that reveal the disturbing callousness our government, public health officials, and top researchers are capable of when it comes to the most vulnerable among us. And she explains, in a graphic sense, how some of the most trusted within our society are willing to commit life-threatening ethics violations.

Absolutely OUTSTANDING!
Revisado: 09-12-24
I am so grateful for Sharyl Attkisson’s reporting and sharing information for the last few decades. Attikson is one of the few reporters I trust to give the truth, not spin, to interview people on both sides of an issue, report the FACTS and let you draw your own conclusions. I listen to her podcast when there is an issue I am interested in and her show Full Measure is always enlightening, especially when there is a story on government corruption, waste, fraud or abuse (that’s the norm nowadays, but you’ll rarely find it ‘reported’ by anyone except Attkisson or John Stossel).
I’ve been an ER nurse for almost 25 years and I have been telling most of my patients to get this book, Follow the Science to learn more about why they should not necessarily trust most doctors or nurses, including me. I always recommend patients do their own research, NOT using “google” to search and have recommended those Attkisson lists as trusted sources in the last chapter.
This is an outstanding book. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants the facts/the truth.

Historia
Over just the last few decades, laws in this nation have exploded in number; they are increasingly complex; and the punishments they carry are increasingly severe. Some of these laws come from our elected representatives, but many now come from agency officials largely insulated from democratic accountability. In Over Ruled, Neil Gorsuch and Janie Nitze explore these developments and the human toll so much law can carry for ordinary Americans.

Every day Americans railroaded by bureaucrats- must read!!
Revisado: 08-13-24
Over Ruled is a compilation of many stories of every day, regular, working Americans who have been railroaded by bureaucrats in the administrative state. Every single American should be astounded by the immense power the administrative state (aka: deep state, swamp, bureaucracy) has over our lives. All 3 branches of our federal government have given too much of their power to the administrative state & most Americans have no idea how our lives can be destroyed by this group of unelected “mini tyrants” (not all, but enough).
This book brings to light what our country has become, why we should fix it & how it can be fixed. A good start would be Senator Mike Lee’s SAVES Act. Read Over Ruled, you won’t regret it.
