Fantasy with suspense, excitement and emotion. Kept me wanting more throughout. Brilliant narration. i would certainly recommend it. Reminded me a bit of Erin Morgenstern's Night Circus.

Historia
Vampires have come to Lancre, but they're not what you'd expect. Sure, they drink blood and view humans as dinner, but they're modern and sophisticated. They've got style and fancy waistcoats. And they're not a bit afraid of garlic. The Magpyr family are out of the casket and want a bite of the future. But they haven't met the neighbours yet. Between them and Lancre stand a coven of four - Granny Weatherwax, Nanny Ogg, Magrat and young Agnes - and they don't take kindly to murderous intruders....

One of Pritchett's finest.
One of narration's best.
The mood could not have been better portrayed better with oil, canvas and a fine hand.

Historia
This isn't real life. This isn't even cheese mongering. It's opera - where the music matters, and where an opera house is being terrorised by a man in evening dress with a white mask, lurking in the shadows, occasionally killing people, and, most worryingly, sending little notes, writing maniacal laughter with five exclamation marks. Opera can do that to a man. In such circumstances, life has obviously reached that desperate point where the wrong thing to do has to be the right thing to do.

Disappointed
Revisado: 12-03-23
This is the first Pratchett book I didnt enjoy. Naration was not suitable for the witches and the voices used made ablot of the book difficult to listen to. The storyline was weak for a Pratchett title.

Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Total absorption of the mind
Revisado: 06-30-23
Foreign worlds and environments are seamlessly created without drawn-out descriptions and we are taken on an exciting jand bivid interstellar ourney.
Coupled with brilliant narration, it is easy to connect with and get to know the characters.
I laughed and cried and wanted to know how this would develop and turn out with anticipation through every minute.
A fan is born.

Historia
Eric is the Discworld's only demonology hacker. Pity he's not very good at it. All he wants is his three wishes granted. Nothing fancy—to be immortal, rule the world, have the most beautiful woman in the world fall madly in love with him, the usual stuff. But instead of a tractable demon, he calls up Rincewind, probably the most incompetent wizard in the universe, and the extremely intractable and hostile form of travel accessory known as the Luggage.

So great to hear the voices of Rinswind and Death from the 1st books again.
The story is short but entertaining and funny and brilliantly performed, doing Pratchett's work the justice it deserves .

Historia
Death comes to us all. When he came to Mort, he offered him a job. Death is the Grim Reaper of the Discworld, a black-robed skeleton with a scythe who ushers souls into the next world. He is also fond of cats and endlessly baffled by humanity. Soon Death is yearning to experience what humanity really has to offer, but to do that, he'll need to hire some help. It's an offer Mort can't refuse. As Death's apprentice he'll have free board, use of the company horse—and being dead isn't compulsory. It's a dream job—until Mort falls in love with Death's daughter, Ysabell.

Great but shouty
Revisado: 01-26-23
Pratchett's stories have never disappointed me. However, I found parts of this one difficult to listen to, losing sections of it because I was so distracted by the unpleasantly shrill voices of certain characters.
Death's voice, on the other hand, gets a standing ovation.

Roy Dotrice... Legendary
Revisado: 06-12-22
Roy Dotrice broke the world record for the GOT series with 224 accents and character voices.
He never falters and it does not take long for a listener to know which character is speaking without any need for prompting.

Historia
Zachary Ezra Rawlins is a graduate student in Vermont when he discovers a strange book hidden in the library stacks. As he turns the pages, entranced by tales of lovelorn prisoners, key collectors, and nameless acolytes, he reads something strange: a story from his own childhood. Bewildered by this inexplicable book and desperate to make sense of how his own life came to be recorded, Zachary uncovers a series of clues that lead him to a masquerade party in New York, to a secret club, and through a doorway to a subterranean library, hidden far below the surface of the earth.

Into the world of the Starless Sea
Revisado: 04-26-20
Like The Night Circus, Erin once again paints and creates worlds with words, making it easy for readers to open the doors 😉 and step inside.
This novel is intricate, with several stories interwoven, developing throughout the book and progressively merging.
It is certainly one to read a second time.
Well done Erin. We hope you are working on your third book!
