Then the mark: Ryan Sumner. The last piece of the puzzle is the job. Evie isn’t privy to Mr. Smith’s real identity, but she knows this job isn't like the others. Full of twist and turns
Revisado: 04-05-24
This story was very intriguing. I didn’t figure it out, it was full of twists and turns. The characters were very likable. Aside from Mr Smith it was difficult to figure out who were the bad guys. Loved the way everything was tied up at the end.

Ricki and Ezra Real Soulmates
Revisado: 02-20-24
I loved instant chemistry Ricki and Ezra had. They tried to avoid each other only to run in to each other everywhere. They were drawn to each other. I admired Ricki for following her dream and making her own path. Her three sister were not on her side, I didn’t like the way they treated her and made fun of her. Ricki was lucky to find her family that supported her in Tuesday and Miss Della.

Enjoyed the story
Revisado: 01-19-24
I really enjoy the story about forgiveness. Sarah had every right to not forgive. All of the characters were interesting especially her father. I didn’t really like the narrators style she was a little breathy.

Very interesting story
Revisado: 12-05-23
I had no knowledge of Sarah Forbes Benetta prior to reading this book. Her life was very interesting. She suffered many tragic events in her life. But she also had some wonderful moments. She definitely lived up to her title.

Historia
William Waters grew up in a house silenced by tragedy, where his parents could hardly bear to look at him, much less love him—so when he meets the spirited and ambitious Julia Padavano in his freshman year of college, it’s as if the world has lit up around him. With Julia comes her family, as she and her three sisters are inseparable: Sylvie, the family’s dreamer, is happiest with her nose in a book; Cecelia is a free-spirited artist; and Emeline patiently takes care of them all.

Loved the story of the sisters
Revisado: 04-11-23
I loved the rich characters. It was a very realistic family story. People make choices that they think are best at the time. Luckily sometimes you are given a chance to go back and fix your mistakes. But not always so don’t wait.

Interesting story
Revisado: 03-10-23
I could relate to the story by the fact that my daughters grew up in a similar setting. But they never had any doubt about their heritage. I know parents do the best that they can. After getting further into the book. I realize it was just circumstances. I really liked the insight into the fashion industry and how brutal it can be. I’m relieved that Danielle Prescod was able to get help and work on the issues she had.

Kiara and her brother, Marcus, are barely scraping by in a squalid East Oakland apartment complex optimistically called the Regal-Hi. Both have dropped out of high school, their family fractured by death and prison. But while Marcus clings to his dream of rap stardom, Kiara hunts for work to pay their rent—which has more than doubled—and to keep the nine-year-old boy next door, abandoned by his mother, safe and fed.

Loved Quan's story
Revisado: 09-17-21
The Purple Heart is the third book in the Kiss Quotient series. The series can be read as standalones, the characters overlap. But I would recommend reading the first two book they are excellent. This is Quan's story. This story gives a look at Asian culture and family dynamics through the eyes of Anna Sun. Anna is violinist who is struggling with a creative block and is unable to play her violin to the high standard that is expected of her. After she finds herself in an "open relationship" with her long time boyfriend she meets Quan through a dating app. Quan has recently gone through an life altering event. Quan fall for Ann and all of her quirkness but Quan isn't the man her family thinks is best for her. Anna must find the strength to stand up for herself and not live her life for other people. I often laughed out loud and there were also moments where I felt very sad for Anna.

Interesting Story

I enjoyed Lisa Jewels about the inhabitants of a house and how their story evolves. People in search of something can be greatly influenced to see things as they want. The narrator made the characters easy to distinguish, it was easy to follow.
