Historia
Spanning over twenty years, 20 masters and modern authors of hardcore horror share their most bad-ass stories in this special edition from Red Room Press. Many hard to find and out of print, some that were banned, Necro Files covers every imaginable mode of mayhem with stories that dial into the dark side of human nature.

Patchy Anthology
Revisado: 03-25-24
As with all anthologies you need to take the rough with the smooth but this one has a bit more rough than usual. There are some definate highlights (Meathouse Man, Abed, Painfreak) but it feels like there is a good bit of padding as well. That, along with average narration and sound quality contributed to a bit of a disappointment. Probably worth it if you have a spare credit and you want to take a punt (as I did).

Historia
Every day, funeral director Caitlin Doughty receives dozens of questions about death. What would happen to an astronaut's body if it were pushed out of a space shuttle? Do people poo when they die? Can Grandma have a Viking funeral? In the tradition of Randall Munroe's What if?, Doughty's new book blends her scientific understanding of the body and the intriguing history behind common misconceptions about corpses to offer factual, hilarious and candid answers to more than fifty urgent questions posed by her youngest fans.

Very Accessible
Revisado: 07-27-20
A quick and lively book about a subject many of us are interested in but don't ways know how to approach.
Caitlin Doughty reads her own work exceptionally well. More than a hint of gallows humour about both her style and subject matter but at no time does she ever lose the obvious respect she has for either the deceased or those left behind to mourn.

Historia
Christine was eating into his mind, burrowing into his unconscious. Christine, blood red, fat, and finned, was 20. Her promise lay all in her past. Greedy and big, she was Arnie's obsession, a '58 Plymouth Fury. Broken down but not finished. There was still power in her - a frightening power that leaked like sump oil, staining and corrupting. A malign power that corroded the mind and turned ownership into possession.

Enjoyable story very well told
Revisado: 02-11-19
Not one of King's most complex stories but a good, solid horror tale none the less. However the excellent narration raises what would have been a reasonable book to an absolutely stellar one. By far one of the most enjoyable readings I have listened to in a while.
