This is the 2nd book of Stein's I have enjoyed. I look forward to hearing more. Strong characters. Intriguing setting. Great plot twists.

An Absolute Teaching Must...

I laughed. I cried. I learned. I connected. I feel empowered.

This book gave me so many things to think about, reinforced the things that I'm doing right or well, and pushed me to do even more with my kiddos. I do not think I've ever read a book that has given me more to think about in regards to individual yet simple ways to reach my students. I cannot wait to ask my students "I wish my teacher knew...." this school year!

Just wonderful!

It was wonderful catching up with old friends again. I have read this book several times before but forhot some of the smaller details that makes Harry Potter such an endearing series.

The story moved slowly at times...

I have enjoyed most of this seried throughly, but something with this book rubbed me the wrong way. Besides some cursing & an increasing focus on romantic entanglements, the series took an ominous turn, more mean-spirited. I admit I was not expecting it at all, but two attempted murders for a Disney-inspired novel was surprising. Then, the ending totally dropped the reader off a cliff or side of a ship. Anyway, I'll most likely continue with the series, but I am not sure. Somewhat disappointed.

Love pretty much anything Rick Riordan writes...

Would you listen to The Throne of Fire again? Why?

My boys have varied interests but they agree on listening to books in the car especially one like this with a high interest level for three very active boys. The descriptions, dialogue, and the twists and turns of a well-developed sequence of events leads to many discussions and an interest in reading. I can't say enough great things about audio books, and this edition was excellent!

Really annoying & can truly understand why Amanda asked him to stop calling. I was thrilled when the sample ended.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes...as a teacher, I want to be able to help all of my students succeed in writing, but it wasn't until I experienced a male student crumpling in tears when asked to brainstorm that I realized I wasn't reaching all of children. This book was a great resource and tool to aid me in creating writers in spite of gender.
