Historia
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Easy read; entertaining
Revisado: 02-27-24
Completely disagree with the critics who say Andy Weir missed the mark. This is a fun and entertaining story with a bit of science - nothing more, nothing less. Yes not as in depth or compelling as Martian or Hail Mary, but still enjoyable.

I liked how the author got into the science behind longevity, the factors contributing, and the pop-culture fads. The book ended very strongly with him talking about his own experiences. Overall definitely would recommend this book.

Historia
Four days before Christmas in 1943, a badly damaged American bomber struggled to fly over wartime Germany. At its controls was a 21-year-old pilot. Half his crew lay wounded or dead. It was their first mission. Suddenly a sleek, dark shape pulled up on the bomber’s tail - a German Messerschmitt fighter. Worse, the German pilot was an ace, a man able to destroy the American bomber with the squeeze of a trigger.

It sounded interesting, and it kept my attention the whole time. Especially about the German pilot flying the jets right at the end of the war.

Interesting chronicle of one persons experiences since Korean war
Revisado: 02-27-22
Book and narration are both good. Yes there is profanity, but what do you expect from a book about war. Also interesting from a Geo political sense, the United States in battle with other nations and especially the part about hunting Carlos the jackal and what the US could do and could not do.

Historia
What is genius? The word evokes iconic figures like Einstein, Beethoven, Picasso, and Steve Jobs, whose cultural contributions have irreversibly shaped society. Yet Beethoven could not multiply. Picasso couldn’t pass a fourth grade math test. And Jobs left high school with a 2.65 GPA. The Hidden Habits of Genius explores the meaning of this contested term, and the unexpected motivations of those we have dubbed "genius" throughout history, from Charles Darwin and Marie Curie to Leonardo Da Vinci and Andy Warhol to Toni Morrison and Elon Musk.

Decent overview but no real depth
Revisado: 01-31-22
Interesting in that it gave examples of different famous people and what they encountered or had in common. But i found myself wanting to learn more in-depth details that would have been better served by just reading individual biographies. Not a bad read but a bit redundant at times.

Rich with unforgettable cinematic detail and larger-than-life characters, A Game of Birds and Wolves is a heart-wrenching tale of ingenuity, dedication, perseverance, and love, bringing to life the imagination and sacrifice required to defeat the Nazis at sea.

She interviewed more than a thousand people, and gained access to new data and official records, to write this definitive and vividly dramatic account of how these American journeys unfolded, altering our cities, our country, and ourselves.

Revisado: 08-28-21
The author does fantastic social science research chronicling American migration over 60 years. It's a very good read. It does jump around a bit between stories and you really have to pay attention if you're listening as an audiobook. But it's well worth it.

Well narrated epic story
Revisado: 07-22-21
Amazing classic story. Would have been better if some cuss words were NOT removed. I may not have noticed but other reviewers mentioned this not being unabridged and there were a few very obvious places where the editor removed a word and that left a verbal gap. Why remove these words? Middle school kids hear worse things every day. It needs to be told you in its Entirety. Excellent narration. Still giving 5 stars but whomever edited or produced it needs to understand classics like this should stay unabridged for full storytelling impact.
