I found Mike O on YouTube on his channel, That Chapter (if you haven't seen him there, you have to go check it out!)
My only complaint is that I can't see Mike narrating. His facial expressions are the best.
The audio is perfect. No background noise or empty room feel at all.
The story is sad, like most if not all true crime, but Mike has a way of drawing me into these cases where other podcasts don't. Maybe it's the Irish accent... lol
He's engaging, the cases are great, and very often ones I've not heard of.
Give him a Gooooo!

I fell in love with the movie as a kid and only learned it was adapted from a book as an adult.
The movie left SO much out! listen if you've only ever seen it. Wow! How things change, and in so many ways.

Why can't they go on forever?

The heading in in jest, sort of. I am in absolute love with the BDB and now the Wolven series to be. I get lost in the stories. J.R. Ward created characters that you become family with, and it su KS that the stories can't just keep going on uninterrupted into eternity.
This new start to a new series is no different. I love the new people that are hopefully going to join the family in upcoming books! If you like/love the BDB universe you will love this as well.
These series will take you far away from your mundane world and it will be hard to let go until the next book arrives. I appreciate the love and obvious care she puts into her work. Thank you for the hours and hours of allowing us into your world...

Seriously, the show sticks very close to the book. The book will always be better in any situation. You get the 'feelings' and thought processes of Dex, where they can't really do that on a show, unless the whole thing is a narrative show.

Love Kathy Reichs! but...

I really do love Kathy Reichs. The narrator is great, but she has this watery, very saliva-y quality to her voice. It may be because this book was done years ago, as I don't really recall this in her newer books.
If you have a sound sensory issue, this may irk you. Listen to the sample narration.
That being said, I highly recommend this book. it's a great starting point to introduce us to Tempe Brennan. The book is chalked full of awesome medical, forensic and pathology details! She doesn't leave you hanging to figure them out on your own either. I actually feel like I learned a lot from it! ;)
The description in the Audible selection will give you the perfect amount of detail for the storyline, so i won't rehash it here. I definitely recommend this book!
