Historia
In the 10 years since his classic Kitchen Confidential first alerted us to the idiosyncrasies and lurking perils of eating out, much has changed for the subculture of chefs and cooks, for the restaurant business and for Anthony Bourdain. Medium Raw explores those changes, tracking Bourdain's strange and unexpected voyage from journeyman cook to globe-traveling professional eater and drinker, and even to fatherhood. Bourdain takes no prisoners as he dissects what he's seen.

Interesting Listen
Revisado: 05-20-19
I loved that Anthony narrated this book. It wouldn't have been that same otherwise. This is a book about him putting in his two sense on anything that came to his mind. Fun to listen to, although at times, I felt him blathering on and on and was like "Ok I get it, next topic" Overall though, fun listen.

This book made me feel like I was being brainwashed, and if I ever had a negative thought it was going to come true. Not for me.

Sad this book is over
Revisado: 03-09-19
After I saw the movie I felt compelled to read the book to see how much is different. A LOT! The movie has almost none of the information in the book.
This was an exciting book to listen to. I bought the hard copy for my mom after I finished the audible (she prefers the hard copy of books) what a great story. I just wish I knew what happened to his Indian wife's and kids. Highly recommend read!

Historia
In Patient Zero, Richard A. McKay presents a carefully documented and sensitively written account of the life of Gaetan Dugas, a gay man whose skin cancer diagnosis in 1980 took on very different meanings as the HIV/AIDS epidemic developed - and who received widespread posthumous infamy when he was incorrectly identified as patient zero of the North American outbreak.

Whoa! Lots of Info!
Revisado: 02-12-19
I couldn't get very far into this book. It has SO much information on things other than patient zero. It was hard to follow. I got through the forward and half of chapter 1 and had to keep rewinding to revisit what i just heard. In my opinion, it has way too much-unwanted information.
The narrator of this book, however, is fantastic.

Historia
The relationship between Freddie Mercury and Jim Hutton evolved over several months in 1984 and 1985. Even when they first slept together, Hutton had no idea who Mercury was, and, when the star told him his name, it meant nothing to him. Hutton worked as a barber at the Savoy Hotel and retained his job and his lodgings in Sutton, Surrey, for two years after moving in with Mercury. He was never fully assimilated into Mercury's jet-setting lifestyle, but, from 1985 until Mercury's death in 1991, he was closer to him than anyone and knew all Mercury's closest friends.

Freddie's home life - A fantastic book
Revisado: 02-04-19
This was a fantastic view of the home life Freddie had. After reading Somebody to Love which showed you all about the startup of Queen and a bit into Freddie's personal life, this was a nice view of him on a personal level, at home, a side no one saw except a few people who lived with him. This book is highly recommended.
