Trip, son of the former president of the Blood Fury MC, is determined to resurrect his dead father's destroyed club. It’ll be a long, difficult road as the new president attempts to rebuild the club from the cold ashes left behind. Bad blood and bitter memories are only some of the obstacles Trip has to overcome. The local police department, Manning Grove PD, is another, since they don’t want to see their small town once again overrun by outlaw bikers.

Am now a fan of MC audiobooks
Revisado: 09-25-21
I wasn't really a fan of MC audiobooks to begin with simply because it seems like a lot of them try to be SOA knockoffs and the subject matter is so damn dark. I like the Trip has a checkered past but he's not a bad guy, just a guy who made mistakes and did his time and is now trying to fix something that crashed and burned. I'm a fan of Trip and Stella for sure, Stella is tough woman who is certainly pushed to her breaking point, and is, like a lot of us, very hesitant to ask for help because she either doesn't believe anyone can or will and because she doesn't want to be in anyones debt. It's hard to admit to yourself that you're not cutting it, her own history is very sad but not so sad as it feels like moving on is inappropriate. It's good to see her and Trip repair their relationship and the background of the story with Trips pursuit to mixing the MC isn't a huge distraction. Not too much drama but a good story for sure. The narration is great and both narrators captures the characters perfectly, My only problem is that there are only a few books out of the series translated to audiobooks, I'm going to need a more substantial fix. Trip & Stella all the way. Worth the credit again and again.

Lena is a badass
Revisado: 09-25-21
Really wishing I had a fan to fan myself as though something scandalous happened, I think this was probably the steamiest of the books in total and probably the hardest hitting one as it has some darker themes. I didn't like Jimmy when I first was introduced to him in Lick but then again I think that was the idea to make him the darker sibling. The themes were bit heavier than in previous books, drug addiction, alcoholism, parental abuse and neglect are hard things to write about without making the read so heavy that any joy feels inappropriate. I feel like Lena is perfect for Jimmy with her spunk and with her clumsiness she's a legit person. She balances out his edginess very well and I love reading their interactions, she's not naive or timid and I love it. Andi is nailing it again with the narration. This is probably my favorite book thus far just because I love the pairing between Jimmy and Lena, she doesn't put up with his BS and despite how his treatment wasn't always ideal, she knows he's worth fighting for, you get a taste of it in Play when she tosses a pitcher of beer at Mal for insinuating he's on something. Their happy ending isn't storybook perfect but it's hard earned and ultimately very rewarding. Worth the credit and I freaking loved it.

Historia
Mal Ericson, drummer for the world famous rock band Stage Dive, needs to clean up his image fast—at least for a little while. Having a good girl on his arm should do the job just fine. Mal doesn't plan on this temporary fix becoming permanent, but he didn't count on finding the one right girl. Anne Rollins never thought she'd ever meet the rock god who plastered her teenage bedroom walls—especially not under these circumstances. Anne has money problems. Big ones. But being paid to play the pretend girlfriend to a wild life-of-the-party drummer couldn't end well.

Mal got his pumpkin!
Revisado: 09-24-21
I think I went to high school with Mal... This was a great edition to the Stage Dive series. Mal was my second favorite member of the band as Jimmy and Ben didn't play much of a role in the first book. I feel like the whole 'pretend girlfriend' is a bit of a cliche but a cliche is a cliche for a reason, it's comforting like an old high school t shirt. Of the series I think this one would be a great movie, even though it's the second book in the series. The narration is great again, Andi has a good range in voices without coming off as cheesy or ridiculous. The plot moves along at a good pace and I'm pretty sure Lori was the quintessential 'band mom' I think I knew her too, she was probably the mom who always brought Twinkies enough for everyones kids. The steamy scenes were well written but I have to admit that Mals pillow talk leaves a bit to be desired but that's probably just his goofball nature, the type of guy who never takes anything too seriously until he has to. The conclusion was a bit of a surprise, honestly I feel like Hollywood response would be to have them get married but I'm glad they didn't. It ended on a good note and this was a great listen and definitely worth the credit.

Historia
Evelyn Thomas's plans for celebrating her twenty-first birthday in Las Vegas were big. Huge. But she sure never meant to wake up on the bathroom floor with a hangover to rival the black plague, a very attractive half-naked tattooed man in her room, and a diamond on her finger large enough to scare King Kong. Now if she could just remember how it all happened.

A nice intro to rock romance
Revisado: 09-23-21
So, until this book I never really got into romance novels but this was the first one I read and I now have an addiction to rock romance novels. Lawdy. Stage Dive feels like a real band and each member was easy to imagine and they sounded like real people which I like, personalities all different. David was easy to picture and the idea of him getting married in Vegas to a nobody was cute and I'm pretty sure something that has happened before. I liked Evelyn almost immediately I'd probably react the same way upon finding out I'd gotten drunken married in Sin City, I'd probably puke too and then promptly die of embarrassment. The romance was great and nicely paced, the cheater plot device was a little annoying but cheaters usually are and as a PNW native I loved seeing a story set in Oregon. Their ending was great and well deserved, the right ends were wrapped up nicely and Ev and Dave made a great couple their HEA was so sweet I almost puked unicorns.

One by one, the members of Stage Dive are falling in love. David, Mal, and Jimmy have all taken the plunge, and now it's Ben's turn-only he refuses to fall into that trap. The sexy bassist enjoys his no-strings-attached lifestyle. But when Ben is forced to keep the one girl he's always had a weakness for out of trouble in Sin City, he quickly learns that what happens in Vegas, doesn't always stay there.

A good conclusion
Revisado: 09-23-21
So, I listened to all the Stage Dive series in order and I initially didn't like Ben but that has more to do with the nature of his relationship with Dave, Evelyn and Martha it was good to see him get his own happy ending even if it wasn't my favorite. It was a good story and to the authors credit each story doesn't feel like the same copy-paste formula and each story was unique. I'm not wild about the age gap between Lizzy and Ben but it's not a turn off completely. Their relationship seemed a little rushed but pregnancy is a hell of a thing and it was nice to see how the rest of the family reacted to the situation and it was good to see a conclusion. Narration was great, and Andi nailed it again. Gotta love the kiddos name too Gibson Thunderbird, lol. A nice conclusion.

Historia
Exodus End's legendary drummer Steve Aimes plays the role of a rock star better than anyone in the business. Since his divorce, he's embraced every rock-and-roll stereotype and uses those vices to keep women at a safe emotional distance, while keeping their physical distance recklessly close. He vowed years ago to never give any woman the power to break his heart again. He just has to keep playing the part, and never drop his guard, and stop obsessing over the keyboardist in their new opening act.

There's more right?
Revisado: 09-23-21
So, I didn't read the books in order and started with Staged and initially I was kind of turned off based on Roux's ultra tragic background, it felt a little angsty to me but I stuck with it and I'm really glad I did. Roux definitely grew on me as she came out of her shell and her and Steve's relationship grew. Roux's band gave me high school nostalgia, reminding me of a combination of KISS and Evanescence. The narration was great, Teddy and Mackenzie are fantastic, I dislike hearing men voice women and women voice men but the two of them actually pulled the opposite gendered voices off pretty well. The things I really love about this book are Regan and her polyamorous relationship and how it doesn't come off as a some type of plot device, but rather they feel like real characters and I love the dynamic between her and her husbands? I think? I loved the friendship between Steve and Zach and that alternative sexuality is prevalent. But the thing I like best and the thing that surprised me the most is what happens to Steve and his sexual assault. Male sexual assault isn't something that I find in many books and the way his thoughts come off after it happens to him is refreshing, bas things happen to men too any men and it was nice to see that represented instead of the go-to with women. All in all, I loved this book and have already listened to it maybe four or five times. And I will be patiently waiting for a book on Max because he's such a harass and Dare just to see the type of person that shakes him up. There IS more right? Right?
