Historia
It is the morning of the reaping that will kick off the 10th annual Hunger Games. In the Capitol, 18-year-old Coriolanus Snow is preparing for his one shot at glory as a mentor in the Games. The once-mighty house of Snow has fallen on hard times, its fate hanging on the slender chance that Coriolanus will be able to out charm, outwit, and outmaneuver his fellow students to mentor the winning tribute. The odds are against him. He’s been given the humiliating assignment of mentoring the female tribute from District 12, the lowest of the low.

Where is the singing
Revisado: 06-10-20
This is an entertaining read. The four Hunger Game books by Suzanne Collins are a thought provoking story about society. I imagine for the individual going through the stories sequentially The Ballads, Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Mockingjay for the first time they might be perfect. I’ve read, listened to, and have seen the movies of the first three books Ms Collins wrote. The audio performance by Tatiana Maslany is phenomenal, especially her singing the songs. Then listening to the Prequel was a real let down down because none of the music, and there is a good bit, was not performed at all in The ballads of Songbirds and Snakes.
If they do film the prequel, please perform the ballads.

I read this book for school. The actors did a great job, but the sound quality is horrible!!!

Another Ted Dekker Masterpiece
Revisado: 10-12-16
Where does A.D. 30 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Ted Dekker has written a masterpiece of a historical novel. This is not one of his psychological thrillers. There a a few places that I thought it dragged a little bit, but that was needed for the overall story. I'm anticipating AD33, and I really hope he writes many more in this genre.

Now the fate of an entire civilization rests on their shoulders. months of training and battle have brought victories and hope, but they have also brought heartbreaking loss. And still, the real battle lies ahead: they must confront Galbatorix. When they do, they will have to be strong enough to defeat him. And if they cannot, no one can.

Engaging Read
Revisado: 12-25-11
If you could sum up Inheritance in three words, what would they be?
Interesting, yet predictable.
Would you be willing to try another book from Christopher Paolini? Why or why not?
Although the story line was very predicable, Paolini is a very imaginative and talented writer. I look forward to seeing how is writing expands.
What about Gerard Doyle’s performance did you like?
His range of voices and expressions definitely keep one’s attention. His voice does NOT loll a person to sleep on long over-night drives.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
It was too long for one sitting, but I definitely did NOT want to start anything else until I finished.
