I love the grumpy/sunshine dynamic and Diem & Tallus are one of my favorites. This third book in the series is great! Diem and Tallus' relationship is evolving into something solid. Diem continues to break my heart with his struggles and he fights so hard to connect. I love how Tallus supports him and helps nudge him to open up. Add in a really intriguing mystery with enough twists and turns to keep me engaged and I didn't want to stop listening. The narration was superb and I am so glad there is going to be more books in this series.

This story hit me in the feels, in all the best ways. I like both Single Dad as well as redemption/overcoming tropes and this story has both and I enjoyed it a lot! While we met Niles previously as Koa's ex in Promises Of Forever, this story can be listened to as a standalone. Niles redeemed himself from when I first met him and I wanted to protect him from his insecurities. August too had his own fears and insecurities to deal with. Ultimately, while a rocky journey, their relationship helped each of them grow and become stronger both individually and together. Nick J Russo's narration is as great as I've come to expect, especially on the emotional scenes. I know this will be one of my "relisten to" audios this year.

Dash and the gang are drawn into the case of a writer's murder. But this time Pippa and her podcast are along as well, getting in the way and causing rather hilarious havoc. The mystery was a good but not as engaging as previous books, hence the four stars. Because this is a Gregory Ashe book, that means that the story is better than most MM cozies. I enjoyed it and am always glad for another installment of the Last Picks. Bobby continues to break my heart but I love how supportive Dash is. While not my favorite in the series, it is still an enjoyable listen and not to be missed. Looking forward to what's next for the Last Picks.

Dash and the Last Picks are back in another fantastic installment. There is so much to enjoy in this series, including quirky loveable characters who have become a solid found family. The whodunnit mystery was good and engaging. I enjoyed watching Dash (complete with running inner monologue) work through it with the help of his friends. My heart breaks a little for Bobby, so earnest and good and I love watching our MCs grow and support each other. The narrator does a great job voicing each of the characters, particularly Dash and his internal thoughts. I'm really enjoying listening to this series and am very happy there are more coming!

I have read or listened to this Agatha Christie novel several times. This was an extremely well done narration and I'm very glad I picked up this version. The narrator's character voices, pacing and performance brought the story to life and made it fresh. I loved being introduced to my favorite funny little Belgian in a new way. While this is not my favorite Christie novel, it is enjoyable to remember how Poirot and Hastings got started. I hope Joel Froomkin decides to narrate more Christie novels, and soon!

I really enjoyed this second installment, as Tallus and Diem work towards solving an unusual case. This second case, involving physics, had enough twists and turns to keep me guessing. But it was Diem's struggles that broke my heart and really kept me engaged. Tallus pushes in this installment and Diem deserves so much credit for fighting against his negative self doubts. Diem still has so much to overcome, I just want to hug him. And Tallus also has growing to do and we see him starting that journey. Nick J Russo, as always, does a fantastic job. I love his saucy Tallus and growly Diem. I am looking forward to more!

This audio got recommended to me and it was even better than I expected. I adored Harp and Riley both as standalone characters and as strangers/caregiver to friends to being a couple. This is an enjoyable story but it is not fluff, some difficult themes are handled deftly. It is the character interaction, the humor and banter, so expertly performed by both Iggy Toma and Greg Boudreaux, that made this a 5-star listen. There is some angst, so review the trigger warnings, but ultimately I spent much of my listening time smiling. Riley, with sidekick Larry (Eisenhower, Boomer, Marlon... Lol) and Harp were just what each other needed. Definitely worth a credit, happy I found this author and that there is a book 2 already out in audio (yes I immediately grabbed it after finishing this book).

Dash and friends are back and I love this found family dynamic. This time we also get to meet Hugo the Ex, who was surprisingly likeable. I liked the way we're seeing Dash evolve and understand what he deserves. While Dash grows as a character, the mystery is also engaging and watching the gang in action is always entertaining. Another fun listen and well done narration. Enjoy book 2 everyone, I know I did!

I am thoroughly enjoying Gregory Ashe's cozy mystery series. Dash, not Dashiell :-) is such a likeable character and a fantastic narrator. I love his internal monologues and asides. As with every Gregory Ashe novel, the secondary characters are also engaging and in this case, I particularly enjoy Millie. The mystery is solid and I rooted for Dash and the gang. This was a new-to-me narrator and he did really well. The character voices were distinct and he had a good sense of timing especially in the funnier bits. I'm looking forward to book 2!

I am so happy for this spin-off, with Tallus and Diem pairing up to solve a mystery that becomes more complex as it progresses. I found myself wanting to protect gruff and grumbly Diem from his own internal thoughts. I liked Tallus' snark and he's good for "Guns" as he calls Diem. I did take longer to warm up to Tallus but seeing him dive into helping Diem with the case with such enthusiasm had me rooting for him. I am glad we're getting more in this series so we can watch the characters grow and their relationship evolve. And along the way, we'll get engaging mysteries to puzzle over and watch unfold. As a bonus, we get glimpses of Valor & Doyle, one of my favorite couples. Nick J Russo does a great job narrating the story and I especially enjoy his voice for Diem. As always, Nicky and Nick make a great aothor/narrator team!
