The different Narrators with different pronunciations really made it difficult for me to follow the story.

The switching between narrator and voice actors got so annoying I couldn't finish listening past the first 30 minutes. I wish there was a version without the individual voice actors.

Great story, just wish it was engineered better

Great story, my only criticism is the engineering. rhe volume would get so low I had to turn up the volume. Then all of a sudden it was so loud.

Not The Life of Pi

I was really hoping to get more out of this book. As others have mentioned, there are several issues that can be brought up. While I can generally forgive different styles of storytelling what is difficult are character and world changes, it's just lazy. With regard to the story telling everytime a nickname was used I would cringe. With regard to the narration the mispronunciation of names and locations was like fingernails on a chalkboard.

Been waiting a long time for this one. Marc Thompson is the voice of thd Star Wars! I just hope they keep going with the Rogue/Wraith Squadron series.

Star Studded Cast

As usual Marc Thompson delivered Timothy Zahn's story with total style.

Marc Thompson really is a master of his craft and really makes this story come to life. I must admit though there were times I couldn't help but smile at the similarities to other movie and television characters.

- Grand Admiral Thrawn as played by Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp)
- Grand Admiral Davit as played by Captain Marko Ramius (Sean Connery)
Anakin Skywalker as played by Ted Theodore Logan (Keanu Reeves)
Darth Vader as played by Commander Worf (Michael Dorn)

It just proves how much of a geek I truly am.

Performance disappointment

I realized why I don't listen to the series more often. The difference in the voices between the books just astounds me, especially while having the same narrator.

Really Disappointing

Of all the Horatio Hornblower book this is my favorite so I gave the story 3 stars because it is abridged. Listening, it felt more like a soap opera with all the extra background music. I wish they had the Christian Rodska version.

Summer Blockbuster

So far the story reminds me of the typical Summer Blockbuster movie. All the right elemants, with all the fun and excitement. And with all the predictability. I really enjoy James Marster's performance, with the exception of the few mispronunciations which just grate on me personally.
