Historia
Cole Riker is a Slip Runner. A contractor tasked with finding alien salvage in exchange for credits. For an ex-smuggler like Cole, there’s a catch: Don’t break the terms of parole. That means doing things by the book. Find salvage, turn it in, get paid. But everything changes when a retrieval mission lands him in a previously unknown sector. There, he finds the material he’s been sent to recover, along with something more. A brand-new form of ancient alien life.

Historia
Agent Isaac Steele has problems. He spends all his splibs on drink and drugs. He has some deep-seated and very much unresolved issues with his parents. And his robotic partner at Greatest Britain’s Department of Clarification, Dr Timothy Stephens, is ruled more by his heart than his hard drive. But all these issues take a back seat when Isaac stumbles upon a case involving the most sensitive information in the cosmos - a Never File, inaccessible to all except those with the highest clearance. He is expressly forbidden to involve himself. So naturally he does.

More! I want more!
Revisado: 10-21-23
I have not laughed out loud so many times in a book for quite some time. Way more than amusing, very clever and original. So sad the book ended. I want MORE!

Historia
Actor Stephen Tobolowsky has appeared in over 200 movies and television shows. He has played everyone from Ned Ryerson in Groundhog Day to Sandy Ryerson in Glee. He has amused thousands with his true stories on The Tobolowsky Files at Slashfilm.com and iTunes. Here he shares some homespun philosophy and more true stories that prove tales of sex, drugs, and rock and roll are often the most humiliating and almost always the most enjoyable.

My first time with Stephen A+
Revisado: 10-12-23
I've always enjoyed seeing Stephen walk into frame on my TV, doesn't matter what the show is, it just got better.
Stephen's adventures as a youngster are wonderful. I don't know what percent true they are, but any embellishments are charming.
I'm looking forward to listening to more of his musings.

BLM propaganda not sci-fi
Revisado: 06-21-23
I saw the first few lines of the description and thought it would be great sci-fi. NOPE! Just a lot of bigotries against white folks. The white stereotypes depicted were heartbreaking. How was this author so hurt in his past and has not sought therapeutic help with his issues. I hope he finds peace someday.

Too obvious, the voices were annoying, the plot was dull. Save your money and time, pass on this one

He has the ability to modify any item he owns; to upgrade anything. Sounds great on paper. Almost like a video game. Except that the amount of power it takes to actually change, modify, or upgrade anything worthwhile is beyond his abilities. At least, that was until Felix leveraged a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to give himself a great deal of points. Investing in Super Heroes and Super Villains and owning them. Using them, Felix built up an empire: an organization by the name of Legion.

Fun as always
Revisado: 03-25-23
It is enjoyable. In a world of over woke entertainment, this isn't! The sexual relationships are quite the sophomoric exaggeration of a 12-year-old boy's fantasy, but it that's actually refreshing in today's ultra woke pc climate. The plot was great. The characters are fun. The superpowers are in a stage of nice wind up for the next book. The voice acting is superb! So many distinct voices, even between the Andreas! Worth the time.

Historia
Neal Stephenson is a blazing new force on the sci-fi scene. With the groundbreaking cyberpunk novel Snow Crash, he has "vaulted onto the literary stage." It weaves virtual reality, Sumerian myth, and just about everything in between with a cool, hip cybersensibility - in short, it is the gigathriller of the information age.

Amazing concepts from 1992!
Revisado: 10-14-22
The performance was amazing! Great character voices and diction.
The plot was not as amazing as the details of the equipment. For 1992, this guy did an excellent job of predicting future tech. I feel many people used his story and names for the real thing as it was invented. So cool.

Way better than I expected
Revisado: 10-05-22
I am amazed how years after listening to this book, I still enjoy reminiscing over some of my favorite parts (no spoilers) like the picnic walk back in time, the giving of golden dinner plates, and the forming of the unique knife to last through the ages. Don't skip this book. It is very worth the time.

Spectacular!
Revisado: 10-05-22
Such a great short story. I listened to it twice back to back. Highly recommend it. I appreciate that Mr Taylor did not drag out this wonderful story. So often that ruins a story for me. And it is another great performance by Mr Porter. His wonderful character voices really brings the story to life. Thank you both for this wonderful experience.
