Historia
I played all those cool video games. I watched all those movies. I even read the books. In most of 'em, the hero shoots the bad guys, drives a sweet car, never gets hungry, and always seems to get laid by the end. Yeah. Whatever. I gotta be straight with you about why I wrote this journal, and it comes down to one thing, the apocalypse kinda sucks. It doesn’t meet my expectations at all.

Awful
Revisado: 03-06-23
The whole thing was a train wreck. 90% of the book is just ranting and complaining about every aspect of life before the end of the world. The main character is completely unlikeable, but tries to come off as the cool grumpy middle aged man. Save the time and skip this book. I kept hoping it would get better, but it was the same turd from start to finish.

Historia
Diana Cannon-Ragsdale was born into a Mormon dynasty. Her father Ted Cannon was a local celebrity in Salt Lake City, and her family’s ancestors were contemporaries of Brigham Young—and they had many dark secrets to keep. In Loose Cannons, Diana traces her rebellious 1970s girlhood—amidst her father’s multiple suicide attempts and remarriage to her mother’s sister. As she and her siblings barreled into adulthoods they weren’t ready for, they tried to rely on each other while reproducing broken relationships of their own.

Wonderful memoir of an an amazing woman

I’m lucky enough to know Diana through a friendship with her daughter. I have always been extremely impressed with how genuine and positive she is, and with what a great mother she is. I’ve been anxiously awaiting the release of this book, and it was well worth the wait. The struggle of leaving the mormon church while living in the middle of their main territory is perfectly portrayed. I can’t fathom the strength it took to grow up in the same circumstances. I’m blown away with how well the story is written. Don’t hesitate to give this book a shot. You’ll be so happy you did.
